  1. Rangnick as Dof and Jesse Marsch as Head Coach.
  2. There’s no mention of it, yet the Norwich statement said Farke and all of his staff had gone. I’d like to think they are as I suspect they were the bigger issue than Dean.
  3. Think he’ll be the first manager in a long time to have a successful high-level managerial career after taking the Villa job.
  4. Gutted for him. We’ll only know if this is the correct decision in the coming weeks. If it’s Gerrard/Lampard in the frame then we’ll be back here in a few month’s time.
  5. Lol - when we won the cup semi final with sherwood I was trying to convince myself they’re doing it despite him rather than because of him. Was probably right in hindsight…
  6. When Mourinho did that sort of thing at Chelsea it was because he was such a managerial genius.
  7. Maybe have a clear out and get him in as DofF and then get Jesse Marsch in as head coach. Have had a good partnership in the past. Maybe Edens would like an American connection with the team.
  8. He would be a replacement for Lange not Smith. He’s been a Director of Football for years.
  9. That’s my point. You can’t consider Steven Gerrard’s credentials to be any higher.
  10. If Gerrard’s in the frame then so should Neil Lennon. He has more success and more experience. Gerrard’s reputation as a player has lifted his credentials far above where they actually are. The reality is neither of them should be anywhere near the Villa job.
  11. Gallardo would be class. He was heavily linked with the Barca job. He was a class player too - could really bring out the best of Buendia.
  12. Lampard is nowhere near the standard required to coach a PL team. Havertz, Werner, Pulisic etc., who were used to being coached and briefed to the highest level under German coaches did not respond well to the 'up and at 'em' approach of Lampard. It would be the same as Sherwood all over again (maybe Frank's ego isn't quite at those levels). Tuchel has shown how deficient Lampard was at Chelsea.
  13. We were a relegation threatened team throughout N'Zogbia's entire tenure here and he was utterly terrible. We're a relegation threatened team right now and Buendia's not doing it. Also when Delph left for city he was a key member of Guardiola's first title winning team at left back.
  14. - Hasn't appointed Tim Sherwood as our manager.
  15. You're being harsh on Benrahma there - there's not alot between him and Traore but I'd probably take Benrahma over Bertie right now. Not fussed on Maupay mind you - think we were right to pass on him.
  16. This is a fair comment, although I'd probably have taken Ings over both of them. I've thought Ings has been better than Watkins in the games he's played for us.
  17. Sam Johnstone will surely be a first choice keeper for quite a few PL clubs. He'd be crazy to come here as a back up.
  18. Great to see Emi’s shithousery getting the recognition it deserved on MOTD last night. Micah Richards absolutely loving it. Was class when Tyrone goes over after the penalty miss and seems to be telling him to dial it back a bit and EMI starts laughing. You love to see it…
  19. It’s mad that in any other industry or walk of life, Dean would’ve been headhunted by the very top by know. Yet in football the likes of Frank Lampard and Ole Solksjaer are considered good enough for the biggest jobs in football because they ‘just know how their clubs work’ which is just utter nonsense. (See AC Milan’s list of managerial failures over the last 10 years also). Dean is ten times the manager that solksjaer is - it’s great that United are so deluded and lost in their own sense of entitlement that they can’t or won’t see it.
  20. Man that pass to Watkins was utterly sublime. Weight, direction, bend all just absolutely perfect.
  21. They didn’t until Ole concocted it as an excuse because he was utterly outplayed by Deano. Pathetic attempt at self-preservation that the ManUre fans have jumped onboard with. It’s mad the number of United fans that can’t or won’t see that they have a manager who’s utterly out of his depth.
  22. He gave it everything, but it just wasn’t to be for Mike Dean today. Feel for him…
  23. I actually thought he was referring to CR7: https://www.theguardian.com/football/2021/sep/09/cristiano-ronaldo-return-manchester-united-awkward-conversations-as-well-as-cheers
