  1. I love the way Barnsley play. Stokes final form
  2. They've been talked up as a legitimate threat all season despite being in decline since about game week 8. They've played crap football all season and most of their stand out players are at the back. James hasn't done enough, DCL is a lamp post and Richarlison looks miles better in highlights than if you ever watch him for a full 90. Another season like this will probably see him sacked by Christmas.
  3. I dunno. For me these next few years are really exciting. You find a way to lesser the burden on Grealish, we start to replace the likes of Alioski, Cooper, Ayling, Roberts in the next 2-3 years and their are legitimate challenges now assuming we hold onto our big players. I'm still not convinced by anything Everton do, but that's a different topic entirely.
  4. Bizarrely thought the same. He's one of the few players in that squad that hasn't downed tools all season so of course once he goes up he scores.
  5. I don't think it was that poor a decision. He's offside by this year's ruling and more offside than a lot of the calls we've seen this year. This isn't dead level start counting pixels close, he's off. Off enough that if VAR wasn't a thing and that goal goes ahead people would be complaining about the need for VAR and how the big teams always benefit.
  6. Hasn't the Dutch manager been really shit since he took over? Their were talks of Robben getting a call up since he played for Groningen at the weekend but that didn't happen, and on a personal level I'm fuming.
  7. PSG are trying to make their shirts more than a football shirt, I've seen girls at the gym and in town wearing them. Fair play if they pull it off. Football shirts are basically for kids and attending games. If I catch a grown man wearing this years kit of any team casually he's a nonce.
  8. England has got to a point where buying domestically is nearly impossible. Abraham and ASM combined would probably cost 100 million and there's no reason to believe their aren't better players further afield, but in threads like these you're always going to name drop the players you see as opposed to some 22 year old tearing up the Bundesliga. Do you think you need another winger? Has the Traore thing not worked out? In the limited time I've watched him I couldn't tell if he's world class or barely a footballer. He floats between the two everytime he touches the ball.

I guess, Brentford have lost a lot of play offs though. 6?

Since when is winning the play offs doing a Villa
  11. It would never happen, the big boy Landaners would riot but I reckon the best appointment(or one of) Spurs could make would be Dyche. I might be mad, maybe I've been taken in by his big words and dulcet tones. But I'm sure he's actually one of the better managers in the league.
  12. 2-0 now. Still feel like Milan will find a way to bottle it in the last few games
  13. Mate we lost to Brighton last week.
  14. **** Harry Kane. Any refs that have the audacity to not give him every decision should be applauded.
  15. Eric Dier must be a proper good lad to have in the dressing room because he's absolutely shite
  16. I really wouldn't miss those clubs if they fall into financial ruin. Ideally they all turn really shit, not so shit that they get relegated but just finish 12th every year for a decade or so.
  17. The guy has the nerve to call out the league for 'preventing the club becoming the powerhouse the fans deserve' He's a multi billionaire who chooses to appoint Steve Bruce. Even if I might agree with the case he's making the holier than thou stance he's taking is amazing.
  18. Neymar mentality fully rubbed off on PSG
  19. He talked about the Villa incident on Crouch's podcast this week, if you're all interested and still seething with rage.
  20. That's not true. Neither manager knew about the SL before we did, and the SL wasn't going to be less games. Give Pep some credit, he was the only mananager in that position that came out against it(Possibly because he already knew City were pulling out before the press conference) There's no need to go full tin hat here, and people seem to be forgetting that this big pitchfork mentality set about by sky was also because they weren't getting a slice themselves. Had they been included we might be seeing something very different.
  21. It's the physical side for me. They have no weaknesses. You can't catch them out of position or exploit anything because they're all faster and stronger than the other team. It makes for a really boring spectacle
  22. Sometimes. Only scores worldies, when he's good going forward he's really good but about half the time he's like a 2nd LB. Runs loads, stretches the game and does nothing with it. First game against you was a decent example of it, he saw loads of the ball and was consistently running into space but we never scored from anything he did.
  23. Honestly thought we were absolutely shit going forward. Just miles better at the back. We have similar issues to yourselves with Raphinha/Grealish out. Our other wingers aren't good enough as much as they run about.
  24. Brighton are reverse Burnley. I'll take 4-4-2 and the joke of Burnley on a Tuesday night over Brighton passing sideways with no intent for 90 minutes.
