The criticism of never winning anything in general is strange to me. (I know that's not what you're saying) A select few teams every year get to win the big cups. And along the way more often than not the best players win, not the best manager. Getting to a champions league final is an enormous achievement and just saying 'well they haven't won anything' is reductive and wrong.

League Cup is like Arsenal winning the Emirates Cup. Counts I guess, but nobody else was trying and nobody cares if you win it, they'll also lose without really putting up much of a fight against City too. To go out in that manner is fully indefensible. Especially after such a poor performance at the weekend.

I don't think Ayling should be anywhere near an England squad personally. Makes flashy 50 yard runs every 5 minutes with the ball, not got much else about him at this level.

That's pretty huge if it happens. I'm not sure if it will do much for the actual strength of the league but its something you'd previously think impossible. No doubt Celtic and Rangers will be piping up soon.

If my office job was paying me 120k a week and my every move was broadcast world over then available for in depth review for the rest of time then yes, it's exactly the same.

Surprised so many are so disgusted by it. Nobody expected them to improve on last season but they used all the extra money for that league finish in making the squad worse. For the longest time this season the bottom 4 or 5 clubs were never picking up points and they were still miles off the pace. Shouldn't have lost his job but he's also had a terrible year and should be held accountable for that.

Dunno about that. He's always been a top player at Atletico and for the NT. Barcelona aren't a real football team. Like a celebrity 11 that get to enter the champions league every year at this point

Financially its very weak I mean. Most teams are operating outside of their means.

Of course Juventus with a higher wage bill than most of world football despite playing in an almost unsustainably poor league are the ones championing this Could we, the team paying a 36 year old over a million a week be the issue? No it's the Champions League format, actually.

I don't really want them down, personally. I enjoy the circus and they'll be straight back if they do go. Funnier to watch them moan and complain about being the worst team in the league staying up via bollocks.

Sloppy all over really. Missed 2 sitters, conceded 2 soft goals. Can't do that against decent teams or you lose 2-0.

It's funny I have mates who support Spurs, Arsenal and Liverpool and they're all talking about how 'footballs dead without fans' 'whole season should have an * next to it' Nothing to do with the fact their are 12 teams now who could all make a case for European football and their are less teams for you to run over is it?

The Kick Offs alright but it turns into a shouting match sometimes and can become almost unlistenable. Plus, you'll never see any coverage of a team outside the top 6.

Needs more context here though. It's regarding quarantine and I'd fully agree with him. Here's a thought. No internationals for the rest of the season? An even better thought; no internationals at all forever. Will accept a thrown together world cup with some arbitrary qualifiers but there is certainly no need to watch us beat San Marino 11-0 over the span of two years

It's a long tedious argument that I can't be that bothered to go into but I'll say this. 2-3 players 'good enough. We had 0. Were still using almost that entire 11 for all our games. I don't care for point scoring and jabs and I won't turn this into a pissing contest because that just gets embarrassing.

But then isn't you being worse than a championship side directly Smiths fault? You also can't really compare how long promotion took, we had completely different start points and your championship squad was miles above almost anybody else in the league. It's all a pointless comparison while both are currently in post and things are very much developing for both clubs.

Nah my point was never about the reaction, my point was people saying only we did it. Llorente's was more ridiculous but they're in the same spirit of making the most out of nothing. I don't really care about the whole rolling and screaming in football, at this point its just the game.

I dunno, we've some different interpretations of kicks. He's tripped him. It's a classic foot around their leg and push them back that you'd do at school. He makes the most of it, but he also deserved more than that for the grabbing that your players keep doing.

It wasn't a kick though was it? It was a trip, and obviously not enough to get him doing a Llorente impression on the floor.

I know its 'the modern game' but I'm so bored of what gets blown for a foul these days. CB's can just hold onto the ball until the ref blows because its completely impossible to win the ball as an attacker.

These top of the table games have been dire all season. These two are probably the worst offenders of it too. It feels like it's in Chelsea's DNA to make sure you don't lose to the big boys.
