  1. 4 CB's one of which isn't fit. Another can only really play a 3. Good job we've got loads of RB's
  2. If football becomes some bizarre NFL experience where he can come on purely to take free kicks I'm on board. He's not got anything else that really sets him apart for me. I hope we see White instead of Coady. Guys never going to make it at international level where as White could be starting in 2-3 years. Greenwood's injury means we're going to see a Watkins call up surely?
  3. Way too early to make assumptions like this I think. Brentford have had some of the best recruitment in the country for years and now have a chance to really have a go at things with the prem money. Could bite them because they've primarily worked on small budgets and this is new but you don't know yet.
  4. it's a similar look for pressures too but the numbers are a while back and I'm too lazy to look for them, but while Watkins works very hard for the team its also while you have slugs like Ross Barkley. Our entire team have outrun everybody we've faced in every game this season by 3-9km. So while Bamford might not look like he's working especially hard he's still working harder than his opposite number.
  5. There isn't a metric in football in which x player in this position works harder than an equivalent Leeds player. Only Wolfsburg come close in terms of distance, sprints, pressures etc. And then the gap is really, really big.
  6. Weird one. Had a great season, and you can't argue with the numbers he's put up this year. He suits the team, works harder than any striker in the league and brings a lot to the team when he isn't scoring too, so with all those things it's hard to make a real argument against him and rightfully so. But he's a bit limited as a footballer. Their are certain types of chances I know he won't finish because he's not good enough and their are moments his on the ball ability costs us. You look at Rodrigos goals against Burnley and they're goals Bamford can't score. He found some pretty hot form from Spurs onwards and when he played upfront he was electric. Offers something on the ball that Bamford can't but I'm not sure if Bielsa sees him as playing with Bamford a bit deeper. Bamfords position is one for the future but we'd be a but stupid to replace him after the season he's had, all the complaints about missed chances bizarrely come from other fans now, not Leeds. He's only had one game that cost us with his finishing this season but in general he's been miles better.
  7. DDG's technique of falling to one side and hoping it hims clean in the chest hasn't worked out, unfortunate.
  8. Villareal pretending they don't know how to run for 90 minutes has paid off, fresh as daisies.
  9. Hate shit like this. Ripping on a guy who speaks multiple languages. Genius work
  10. Honestly not huge losses. Piatek it turns out isn't very good, and Milik is pretty unanimously hated by every club he's played for. This Poland team would be genuinely a threat if they had another 3-4 quality players. Its just the players you haven't heard of are barely champ quality
  11. Would love Emery to continue his UK revenge tour and win tonight.
  12. Agreed with Sterling but his call up is inevitable and I'm still worried he'll start. I think any manager not starting Foden should have their position questioned. Especially if he's benched over Sterling. Less so if Grealish were to start and have a blinder of a tournament but his fitness still isn't there and he's barely been picked for previous squads either.
  13. I'd hope he's above Sterling, for me Sterling would be on the edges of a call up he's been that poor this season. Any reference to his numbers being good need to come with a * that they've been done at City. Nathan Redmond would put up decent numbers in that team.
  14. Don't think he gets into the team now. Foden is a once in a generation talent that has to start. Mount will have that position in the middle and somebody direct like Sancho is important. And that's before the fact he's coming off a big injury too.
  15. Thirty three players. What a clown.
  16. It's something we plan for every year allegedly, but in our first summer with him our potential replacements were Karanka, Bowyer or Woodgate. Now you'd like to think we can attract better managers than that now but the fact those three were looked at as successors is a bit worrying in the first place. I've no idea what we'll do and I think any transition to a new manager is going to be rough, worse than any other team in Europe. It'll be like we have to learn to play football again since his way of doing things are so deep in the club and different to the norm. There are dreams of Poch replacing him eventually and Bielsa's reputation might be something that gives us a shot of landing somebody like that but we'd need to keep progressing past this point first.

  18. I disagree. Issues with Spurs run much deeper than tonights performance and the boos were for more than that.
  19. I can't believe this hasn't been mentioned more. Guy has spent the last 2 seasons winning headers and standing still but suddenly he's good again. If anything it should be a warning sign for teams looking at him
  20. Eh, dunno about that. Since Llorente has come in our form puts us 5th. We've played almost the entire top 6 in that time too
  21. Bamford stays on his feet for a clear penalty, nothing given. Madness
  22. I dunno, I don't think time wasting is anywhere near as bad in the champ. While injury time might not be as generous the amount of shit that teams get away with now in the PL is mindblowing? Lost the ball? Roll about, get your entire team to stop playing and now it's a foul. Conceded a free kick? Protest innocence, stand infront of ball, refuse to get into a useful position until sufficient time has been wasted. It has been perfected in the PL, walking just on the right side of the line for time wasting without getting booked. When we lost to Wolves a few months ago from their goal to full time at 94 minutes the ball was in play for 12 minutes. They scored in the 64th.
  23. Football is so much better to watch when the balls actually in play. It feels like there's so much more actual football in the championship, even if most of the passes are headers it's better than the insanity of the premier league. Teams can legitimately defend a 1-0 by kicking a ball out, complaining to the ref about said kicking of the ball out, then refusing to give the other team the ball to take the throw in until the ref says enough, doesn't book anybody then the whole process is repeated 40 seconds later.
  24. The play offs are the pinnacle of domestic football in this country. **** off with your ManU - Liverpool Sky Super Sunday nonsense.
