First time to Villa Park and seeing Villa live in a competitive match in 25 years of fandom. Managed to snipe a ticket in the Holte off the official site. Beats getting up at 2am to watch the match on tv. I am beyond excited.

I was able to book a train for first thing in the morning from London to Birmingham. There were none at all to go back however. I was able to book a coach back. Both had warnings on the page about the strikes but were available none the less.

Barca is a weird beast. I am more interested in his time before he got there. However, their situation with the debt/levers must have been a nightmare to navigate and I think you could say it has been handled well. They have a quality young spine to the team and the makings of something great if they keep improving the team.

As you can see by todays performance he is not above criticism. I like emi and I think he is great.

I think we are all waiting for something to click and for emi to reach a slightly higher level and consistency. If he didn't give the ball as away as much as he does in certain games we would think a lot differently about him. My hope is that he is still learning the timing of when to do the beundia thing vs the simple thing.

i will not tolerate this slander. especially in the Coutinho thread a young man did his all the lift AVFC up and I for one believe he succeeded. On many occasions , some when it mattered most, he took the responsibility and did it almost all by himself. he had flaws and ultimately had his head turned - i can't even begin to imagine what being in his shoes would have been like so i don't judge i think you are dead wrong to imply this team wouldn't be better for his talent and character

Was Watkins really out wide? Bailey always is but I recall Watkins being mostly in his just off central position as he usually is. JJ and Buendia played similar roles vs Chelsea too

nonsense first touch is a skill and can't be improved/learnt. however, like anything, not everyone learns and develops skills in the same way or at the same speed - and some just don't learn at all

I think you are all correct. Traore is either waltzing a ball into the back of the net in such a way that it takes seconds for anyone to realise what has happened or he has been a complete passenger. He is both loved and hated for this reason.
