  1. What are Leicester doing then ?
  2. Correct, not rocket science IF you understand English football.
  3. I just don't think they would even notice no matter what we do. They already know how we feel, in fact they knew that not buying anyone was essentially game over for many different things. We can't rewind time and they certainly dont give a ****, if they did we would not be here. To make a club of our size disintegrate in such a short time would actually be quite a difficult thing to do in reality. It's almost as if Lerner has **** em and **** the club and I am happy to write off the money and let it die. I think this is more likely than a series of comical errors and mi-haps that ended here, unless they had Willie coyote and Frank Spencer doing every single job down there then I think I am closer to the truth than anything else. Protesting against this board is a bit like sticking your fingers up at the Luftwaffe as bomber formations bomb the houses around you. Pointless IMO.
  4. I don't think it matters any more, what's the best we can hope for now. I don't actually think Lerner or anyone on a board level gives a **** either. I watched a programme about cars with James May the other day, this feels like Leyland in the 70's. The transfer window (Summer) was the Allegro moment. Don't forget, they thought it would be a world BMW beater. See what I mean, we are a shambles like never seen before if you see what we were / had to what we are now. As my old man used to shout "F**cking have the place then". They have even giving up giving false hope to us and they talk to us becasue they feel they have too IMO. Way past angry, never thought it would be us. I thought deep down the name was enough, the history was enough, the memories were enough and years of true happiness the club has given me and the support I sent their way. I am 44 now, I just realised I was wrong.
  5. On another forum for another team in the not too distant past the same sentenc(es) were written hoping that some dumb club would come in for them, that would be us then.
  6. I finished watching this last night : Childhood's End (TV Mini-Series 2015) Really good and the ending is brilliant. 3 episodes x 1.5 hours. Highly recommended, an easy 9/10.
  7. I am unsure on that also, just trying to add some balance
  8. John Lydon did an interview with the BBC in 1978. He was asked "Who would you most like to kill ?" He replied, along the lines of "I would like it to be made into a film, I have a list and Jimmy Saville is at the very top of the list. With all his horrible seediness etc" Never broadcast. A recent interview with him confirmed that "Everyone knew what would happen to you if you went to see Top of the Pops or Jim'll fix it" At the time if you asked parents "Would you like your kid to stay the night with the Sex Pistols or Jimmy Saville" I reckon 99% would have chosen the Saville. The power of the media in action I suppose. The fact that the BBC were told in 1978 is a bit sad also, we are now in 2016. He would have been tortured on a daily basis in Prison by the inmates and the guards, I think I am just pi%%ed off we missed the opportunity decade after decade.
  9. The Danes afaik take the same from their own people also. I am not saying it's correct but they did not just pull this action out of the air.
  10. Thanks everyone. It was super tough, just went for a walk on the normal route after dinner as a tribute to my mate. I thought that I would be OK and not cry or anything, I was severely wrong on that point. Thanks for the kind words, it's been a horrible week.
  11. Tough day today. I moved the date as he was in pain, I will put him to sleep at the vets today at 4.00pm. Everyone came around last night to say bye and it is for the best. I am so unhappy and sad it hurts but i must be strong for him later. He actually likes going to the Vet and the vet has known him since he was born so all in all it is going to be difficult. I have no control over my emotions for various reasons but I never realized how little until the last week. I don't actually have any friends outside work so he really is my best mate. Goodbye Timo the Beagle.
  12. I did and it went very well. It was only becasue I figured mine (and AVFC's) luck must change. Law of averages that we would win eventually. The 3-3 was just luck as I had €2 on 2-2 as well, I figured it would be loads of goals becasue all day in the press, even LVG said he was bored so just luck.
  13. I had to wait over the weekend for 4 biopsy results. It was only a feeling I had that he was ill so it was just a check really. Got the results on Monday night. We did not know he was ill or I would have done that + my 3 yr Old granddaughter really needs to say bye as he has always been there for all her life.
  14. Thanks mate. Means a lot. I am so heartbroken it's not normal, I spent 2 days crying as soon as I was alone all my brain would let me think about was my dog, he is in pain though and the Vet said I was 100% doing the right thing. 1st time in my life I have been so upset it actually hurt. Feel a bit better today though, and I am spoiling him rotten with sausages and steak and all things nice for a beagle.
  15. On Friday I was told that my Dog needs to get put down on 18th January. On Saturday I spent an hour making a nice frame for a mirror, finished it and was putting it on the shelf to carry on with later, dropped it and smashed it. On Sunday I bet €4 on the Villa to win last night 1-0 and I also had €2 on Newcastle V Manutd to finsish 3 - 3. The mirror was the last straw really, so I tried and succeeded in breaking the cycke of badness, :-) Does not fix my dog though :-(
  16. In a time when the world was all macho and metal, he started wearing make-up and went on the cover of an album wearing a dress. He is revered in the music press becasue I suppose they know what they are on about ?
  17. How many people do you know, prior to trying to sell their house pick up a sledge hammer and cave every wall in, pi%% in every corner, punch holes in the roof, invite some travelers to set up camp in the back garden, sell anything of value at the auctions and replace with items retrieved from skips on the way home, put the windows through and pick the whole house up and drop it in Castle Vale upside down, most people just put on some coffee on for when people come to view the house with a few biscuits maybe and give the lawn a quick mow but Oh no, Americans do it a bit different. Yeah, really trying to sell it & as for small time, have we ever been smaller ? Cringworthy, Somone falling over at a wedding is cringeworthy, I think we passed cringworthy in September as we were overtaken by "It can't actually get any worse, oh it is FFS". The Lion is all we have left FFS, that's it nothing else. No matter what has happended to us the Lion on the shirt should be enough for these players but it aint.
  18. I was born in 1972 and I turned out OK. Get him a kit and a villa ball and he will be fine + take him on a tour of the ground, I have pictures of me holding the European cup for example. I started going with my dad at around 4-5 years old. So around 1977, no one could have predicted what happened 5 years later. Sell it as a David vs Goliath situation maybe, which essentially what football is based on these days. Kids love an underdog story (Eg. Finding Nemo)
  19. At least we might win a few games and be in line for a possible promotion. Last time we went down was bad in the summer but as soon as the football started again it was OK even if VP was a little empty. We will be fine in the end and in a mad way, we always knew we would crash and burn one day. It could be a long term positive, ask Leicester if they would go back in time now and avoid relegation ?
  20. Hi,

can you get to this website ?

    http://thewatchseries.to/

    For watching everything for free.

Just an idea,  I use it every day.

    Regards.

    Neil D

  21. I thought it was absolute garbage. It felt like it was written by a few different people who had never had the good fortune of meeting. It felt like it was written for teenagers or something. I only just managed to watch it to the end. As soon as the word "Ghost" is used I kind of know enough. If the BBC made this a proper series in the same kind of style as Dexter then they could have a monumental money spinner on their hands but they choose to do this bolox. Next Sherlock, he goes into the future to buy some hats. 2/10 Because I like the music.
