Big Sam for me. Won't be good to watch but he'll get us winning, and there would be no more throwing away leads late on. I couldn't care less about any corruption, I just want a winning team again.
I'm not convinced by RDM in the slightest. You have to wonder how patient the Doc will be, taking into account the fortune that has been spent on this squad.
Might be clutching at straws re:Nursey exclusive, but he was the first to reveal Chinese interest I believe. So maybe he has a contact within the 'supposed' Chinese consortium.....or maybe it's an exclusive interview with Ray Wilkins.
In theory it should happen quicker this time because there is only 1 seller. When Lerner purchased Villa, he had to buy every single share (even from me!) individually. I'm no expert but presumably that takes quite a while.
Could be a very good time to get Chinese owners if it's true. I was listening to TalkSport a few weeks back and they were commenting on how China are currently investing billions of pounds building football pitches/facilities all over the country in order to challenge for the World Cup in 20 years time. It would be amazing to get the majority of the Chinese public to follow Villa. The income would be incredible.
Short term I'd probably take Sherwood. He'd give the players a right kick up the arse and would probably save us. I like the idea of Warburton on a more long term basis. He's worked wonders at Brentford and seems to be a modern thinking progressive manager.
I've had all enthusiasm sucked out of me in the past 5 years. A defeat used to hurt for days, now it's 'meh'. Sadly I think it's the same for the players and manager.....they don't care.
