    Just realised it's cost us £100m+ (including wages) to be in exactly the same position we were in 6 years ago...Randy might be a nice guy, but clearly hasn't got a clue when it comes to running a football club (including the Browns)

    The only way to protest is to stop going to games and stop spending money on Villa. It's the only language they understand. I dread to think what the attendances will be next season if McLeish is still here.

    I seriously hope that Randy doesn't try to 'buy' his way out of the Eck appointment in the summer, by giving him decent transfer funds. IMO McLeish at Villa will never work, he is on borrowed time, it's just a case of waiting until Randy realises this. The last thing we need is to give McLeish £20m+ to waste and be left in the same position we are currently in, in another 12/18 months.

    One thing I don't get about Randy is his sudden change of policy. He hired Houllier to add some flair to us, so we started the transition with Makoun and Bent (and supposedly Cabaye last summer) to help us become a modern slick passing team. Then Houllier leaves, Randy decides we've got no money again and he gets another British 'long ball' manager. So we're left with surplus players (on high wages) from the previous regime to try and get rid of again....basically what I'm saying is that Randy is clueless!

    I want McLeish gone, but with Randy choosing his replacement, it fills me with dread because of who he'll come up with next.

    Another good shout. Got Scunthorpe promoted twice and kept them in the Championship without spending and looks like getting back to back promotions with Southampton. There's a few good managers coming through.

    Lambert is destined for a bigger job,as much as we all love the Villa we are no longer a top/big club, He is happy at Norwich they are in the PL and they are on the up,Villa would be a massive gamble for him but I would like to see us go for him all the same. Mc Leish will not be sacked unless we get relegated, however the crowds are falling and fellow season ticket holders I speak to are not renewing next season unless things change. I agree that he would end up at a bigger club than us eventually, but I'd be happy with that because it would mean he'd done a good job here. I'm not daft, I know we would only be a stepping stone for him.

    Why wouldn't he come to us? We're a big step up from Norwich (he left Colchester midseason to join Norwich in the first place). We have 4/5 big earners leaving in the summer, so I'm fairly sure we will spend.

    This I've been saying this for ages. He is one of the very few managers who could give us massive HOPE of top 6 regularly without spending fortunes on transfer fees. He has a load of Championship players sitting 8th in the Premier League. Just imagine what he could do with us...

    McLeish has no respect from fans, therefore he has none from the players...it was always going to happen. Randy has created a right mess. We either bumble along with McLeish, with players we cant get rid of because of their wages, or sack McLeish and start again, with the players knowing they have ultimate power at the club. Either scenario is very unhealthy. Nice one Randy!

    Would love all of these rumours to be true, I really would. But its all smoke without fire. No reporters have had a sniff of any takeover and I'm sure they would hear whispers before anyone else

    I think it's pointless getting rid of McLeish, only for Randy to appoint another duffer. We need a new owner first.

    I think Randy has had his time now....we're falling like a stone, we badly need fresh investment and ideas before the club gets much worse. Time for Randy to go, he's made some truly bizarre decisions over the past 2 years.

    Lerner is too stubborn to admit his mistake...he doesn't have the bollocks to sack AMc. He'll happily plod along unless we're in danger of going down...then he'll sign a top striker and then a few months later, sell his entire supply line.....oh....
