  1. That depends if you value Benteke at £32.5m? If you do, then surely Hernandez is worth £12.5m?
  2. I don't see why anyone should have to apologise for what they posted yesterday - Delph's done a 180, this isn't made-up B.S! But don't let that stop the point-scorers, congratulations on winning the Internet!
  3. Only sad acts watch all the friendlies, so yes I'll be watching.....
  4. I wonder if he had a chat with Woy about his England place if he is on the bench at City?
  5. Like many others have said, I don't feel angry with him for wanting to go to a team challenging for honours year in year out, but for him to say what he did and then leave at the drop of a hat hurts, really hurts. This transfer window became a lot more important....
  6. I for one think this is a sensible bit of business. It's not being hailed as a big signing by the club, with lots of photo's and interviews etc, but don't let that stop you bed-wetter's from crying about it. I'm sure that Guzan won't be hanging around if a new recognized No1 is signed, so Bunn seems a smart signing for back-up on a fraction of the wage that Given was earning.
  7. Joe Cole and Sendoras are a waste of wages. Joe Cole is on a contract that means he doesn't get paid as much if he doesn't play, and Senderos was a decent player during the stint before his injury. I think you are letting your prejudice against their signings cloud your judgement.
  8. I hope he suffers the same fate as Djibril Cisse or Pierluigi Casiragi... Arrives to much aplomb and bravado... then suffers a severe injury... Once he no longer wears our teams colours, I care nothing for the bloke... This isn't like Andy Carroll who actually wanted to stay in Newcastle and was forced out by Mike 'Show me the money' Ashley... This is a man who will not sign a new contract, will not devote himself to us and will not publically tell his shithead little word removed of an agent to **** off and die... I suppose I'll bite. Very poor words imo, especially about him getting an injury.
  9. If we can sign him, it's exactly the sort of player we should be signing. Pay £10m, keep them for 1 or 2 seasons, sell them for a big profit (eg £25m) while having reaped the rewards of that player's good form that has earned said transfer. Buy next one for £10m-£15m. That's how you progress in a realistic way that abides by FFP.
  10. You would have Gil in there instead of Grealish? And Vlaar instead of Clark? Tin hat on, but im gonna nip this in the bud. Gil is a better player than grealish. Ok we have not seen much of him, but watch him when at Valencia for proof. Also was in the under 21's for spain, he is no mug just has a bad rep becuase Sherwood has not played him. Grealish is one of our own, which is why most fans think more of him, but it would be Gill before Grealish all day for me. I don't think a tin hat will be enough......
  11. The only problem I have with the clause is that it stops us from putting a deadline on any potential deal.
  12. It's quite sad how some have turned on Brad. Short memories....
  13. Sorry, just read that now. I got confused due to the old article being quoted in the OP.
  14. You saw the date on that article right?
  15. Well I won't believe it until I see the 'It's Happening' gif....
  16. I really like that. Excellent again from Macron, although I await the comments about how s*** it is because it doesn't have 3 stripes or a tick on it.
  17. Watching that makes you realise that while Benteke got all the plaudits, Goose practically kept us up that year. I don't think that we need a new keeper if we are to abide by FFP this summer, sure no player in our squad is irreplaceable, but we have much bigger concerns in other positions IMO assuming that our spend will be no more than £20m/£25m. Who knows maybe Tim doesn't fancy him as No1, but I'm hopeful that this little spell out of the team will have done Brad some good, and he'll come back stronger. It did the job for Joe Hart, it really re-focused him.
  18. It's getting to the point where I'd be happy if we got £25m for him. He's good, but not as good as him and his agent seem to think he is. It's funny, but I don't think we've ever had a concrete bid made for him. I know that he scores some important goals for us, but when he is shite he is really shite, and now is the time to sell IMO if it is indeed true that he is refusing to sign a new deal. I just hope that if he pulls any 'Strike' nonsense like he has done before, that we let him rot in the u21's!
  19. I'd take him. There are people calling him a 'one-trick pony', but to be quite frank it's one more trick than a lot of our boys possess. A new cm, lb and striker if Benteke goes, and I'd say we'd be good to go for next season.
  20. Welcome Micah! Good athlete, decent signing on a free (well £13.52m if the rumoured wages of £65k p/w is true ), and he'll hopefully bring a winning mentality with him. Hopefully the first of the 5 that we need imo....
  21. Unfortunately......this is absolutely spot on.
  22. I'm calling it now, Gabby scores the winner on Saturday......
  23. In the times we live in, £2.5m for an English midfielder with upside age-wise is a bargain. Even if the manager doesn't see him in his 'best 11', he has the ability to contribute goals and assists. Personally, I would have him in the side over N'Zogbia every day of the week, but it's not my decision.
