  1. Hopefully the new signings are motivating Westy, big season for him!
  2. I'm done with being attached to footballers. Fabian Delph was the final nail in the coffin for me in that respect. If Tim could get a better player in, then I'd happily see any of our current squad sold. It's all about what is best for the football club when all is said and done. Us fans are the only loyal things left in this financial abomination that is modern day football.
  3. I can see us having a slow start while the new boys find their feet, but once they have got used to the PL then I can see us finishing comfortably mid table. If we could get 50 points next season, I would be over the moon. 13 wins and 11 draws would give us that, allowing for 14 defeats. I feel that is a realistic target as last season we won 10 and drew 8 - turning 6 of last seasons defeats into 3 wins and 3 draws would have got us that total.
  4. Alan Nixon mentions us being after a GK on his Twitter page, I wonder if this had anything to do with Tim's trip to Malaga?.... Ochoa isn't first choice there, coincidence?....
  5. Really excited for this. Hopefully we'll see a few of the players who haven't featured due to International commitments like Sanchez and Guzan, aswell as the new boys. It really feels like a new dawn at the moment, I haven't been this excited for a new season for about 5 years.
  6. Don't use the point that he only plays well at home as a negative one, it's about time we had someone who actually played well at VP
  7. I've only seen him play 3 or 4 times, but he reminded me of the James Milner that we had in 09/10 playing at cm. Good on the ball, nice range of passing, makes great runs into the box to support the attack. I think you'll want to keep him.
  8. Ot, but I'm a Twitter user. I think of it a bit like shopping in TK Maxx when it comes to transfer info - there are good bits of info there, but you have to sift though all the **** to find it!
  9. Played well, worked hard, defended from the front, scored 2 goals. I don't think we could've asked for much more from Libor tonight. Will have done his chances of getting in the first team no harm based on tonight's performance.
  10. This. Gutted to say that, but not got the legs for the week-in week-out nature of English football at 34 years of age.
  11. And once again, that Leicester forum......lol. My favourite bit is them slagging off our cup run last season. They excuse the fact that we knocked them out because they were on their bad run, laughable at best. They are bang on the money about us in general the last 4 or 5 years, but to say that they have more ambition than us is not true - our transfer business this window is not one of a club looking to finish 17th imo, we can be comfortably mid-table with the squad TS is putting together.
  12. I can't relax until we get this one over the line. This will be our best signing since Benteke if we can pull it off (imo of course).
  13. Lol at Leicester. They perform a great escape and then start going on like they're Barcelona. If they finish above us next season, then we will have been relegated.
  14. When I see the 'It's Happening' GIF, I'm probably going to jizz my pants.....
  15. What a tremendous beard, absolutely outstanding. Kudos to the scouting team!
  16. Everything crossed that we can get the deal done....
  17. He reminds me of Milner in his season for us at cm, I hope that doesn't set the bar too high....
  18. If we sign him, that's a big coup. I've seen him play 2 or 3 times last season - he's quality.
  19. I thought Gabby was playing well for the spell between Sherwood taking over and him getting injured against Spurs, but his comeback during our run-in was pretty poor. If played in the right position he can be an asset for us, we just need to utilise him more. He's never going to be Mr Consistancy, but his pace and power will always cause defenders problems.
  20. I think a loan is the best deal all round. We don't have to pay a transfer fee or all his massive wages, and he gets the opportunity to play for his next big pay-day in China or some other country that will pay him an obscene amount of money. I think if we're all really honest, if he can contribute 10 goals next season then he'll have been a worthwhile addition, and if motivated enough by Sherwood then he can easily achieve that.
  21. Good luck to you Jordan, score us 15 goals next season and I'm sure everyone will fall in love with you.
  22. I'd be a bit disappointed to see Baker go, he has shown improvement over the last 12/18 months (not as much as Clark admittedly), and I think he makes a solid back-up at cb, but understand if he wants to go to get first team football.
  23. I think deals like this are a little bit underwhelming due to us clamouring for every signing to be a first choice player. Experienced, cheap, good reviews. Next!.....
