We have just finished 17th. I'd take a few squad cohesion problems if it means it eventually clicks together and we stay well clear of the drop. Any other club and i'd agree but really it couldn't get any worse (besides relegation of course) but better calibre of players usually means you end up higher up the table. I understand what you're saying pal, I was just stating a concern about it that's all. I'm pleased on the whole with the players being brought in, I'm just nervous about the possibility of it being too much too soon. Like a typical Villa fan, I'm looking for the cloud attached to the silver lining.

With today's inflated transfer market, €1m is a bargain for an experienced beard.

The one thing that does concern me this transfer window is the amount of comings and goings, especially if we are after 4 or 5 more players. Sure it's exciting for us fans, but I just worry that we are doing 2-3 years worth of squad transformation in one window, and that we may have squad cohesion problems.

If that bid for Clark is true, then that is a ****ing insult. Regardless of it being them, I wouldn't do business with a club who started with such a disrespectful offer.

I think he just needs time to adjust, he's getting used to playing a position that he hasn't played in regularly. I think he is probably better suited to playing in a back 3 though, as I do like that he tries to bring the ball out of defence - it's something our cb's haven't done for a long, long time.

2 strikers and a cm is the minimum that we need this transfer window IMO.

I could see him going back to the MLS. It would be quite a coup for any side there to sign the U.S No1, and as Isa mentioned we would probably get more money. Ideally I would give him another chance, but if we can get £5m for him and upgrade, then I'm not against the idea of getting rid.

I'm going to put my neck on the line and say that as long as Adebayor is on a reasonable wage, then I think Tim can get the best out of him. As Trent said though, Spurs are frustrating to deal with so probably won't be completed anytime soon. Hopefully only one of the two strikers we need though.

This is one thing that I really like about Sherwood - he does change his mind if a player proves their worth. Could we get a better GK? Sure, but it's not a top priority IMO.
