  1. Huh huh huh.... Come to Butthead... Huh huh huh huh huh
  2. Wasn't there a rumour flying round that he and KEA had an argument in the car park? Considering Richardsons contribution these first few games; not a bad trade off whatsoever!
  3. On another note... Doesn't anyone think that little dog 'Boo' is so cute its bloody irritating... Every time I see a picture he looks so goddamn happy all the time... and I love dogs... Its just that dog is a prick!
  4. For shits and giggles, replace the word 'happy' with 'batty'... Makes it sound a little bit more apt...
  5. What are the odds at the bookies for 4 wins in the next for games I wonder...
  6. For all expansive circuses, thanks!
  7. (Ahem) "to all intents and purposes". http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=For%20all%20intensive%20purposes Read again... 1. For all intents and purposes = Correct 2. To all intents and purposes = Correct 3. For all intensive purposes = WRONG! You should have paid attention in English class! I did read it; I posted it for comical reasons

  9. Has anyone got a gif. of this? I watched it online in Thailand and for all intensive purposes, it would have been more consistent listening to it on the radio...
  10. This was class - as soon as the whistle went he just turned and looked for Baker to go and celebrate with - did the same with Vlaar too. Its become apparent since he has moved to Villa that all Senderos wanted in life was a good man hug...
  11. But then again... Being a loudmouth trollop on social messaging sites and generally harping off on stuff to do with your famous husband and drawing attention to yourself probably isnt helping the situation either... She could join mother-child community groups to cope with the 'isolation and lonelyness'... but no, she decides to try and derail her husbands career instead... Sorry, but I couldn't give a rats backside about the stability of their marriage; All I want is whats best for the Villa and Matty wasn't doing too badly until all this started boiling up... Could she have handled it better? Yeah probably. Does that give justification for people who don't know her and have never met her to call her a trollop and make decisions that affect the lives of her children on her behalf? Probably not. The same part of your psyche that doesn't give a toss about her marriage probably means she doesn't care about you either. To be brutally honest, I don't even know how you'd go about measuring whether or not this has had a negative impact on Lowton and the club in general. He hasn't put in a transfer request (that we know of) which plenty of others would, so this would suggest he is keen to work his way back into the starting 11. He got dropped, other players filled in and contributed to the team. Either he stays or we sell him, presumably at a profit, but if not then so be it. Alternately, how dedicated to Villa is he likely to be when facing divorce proceedings and child custody battles because he told his wife to get a grip and she told him to do one? At the end of the day it's football. She didn't sabotage a state of the art medical research project or sink a cruise liner. She made some ill-advised comments on social media (imagine!) motivated by wanting what is best for her family. Yes, there are wider issues about the morality of overpaying footballers at play here, but I think someone getting ripped to pieces by football fans (not saying you) who treat other people's private lives as some sort of phone-in soap opera is also an issue. Sorry; I disagree... 'decisions that affect the lives of her children'... They moved an hour(ish) down the road from Sheffield to Birmingham because thats where her well paid famous husbands job took them (which when she saw how much her was going to be paid, I would bet my knackers that she was over the moon about at the time)... They werent moving to Plymouth or the Gaza strip! There are no language barriers (aside from regional accents between Yorkshire and the West Midlands) that should have effected her assimilation into the local area... and EVEN IF THERE WERE... Good old Sheffield wasn't far away... Sorry, but no sympathy from me... People move because of work; my family moved 3 times when I was growing up from Brum to County Durham to Croydon to Southampton... and I guarantee my dad was on less wages and we moved further away from where we were currently settled and where we had family and friends... but thats life...

  13. No... he didn't... He should have stayed here where the we loved him, appreciated him for what he did and gave him the stage for people to say 'Wow, you know that James Milner at Aston Villa, he is a fine player... Good to see finally he has found a club that has given him the opportunity to show what he is made of'... We wanted him here... Twice... Man City only wanted him to destablise us like they did with Barry... We were the ones knocking on the C.L door and they wanted to skin us for what we had so they could take our place... They were signing David Silva, Yaya Toure, Kolarov and Balotelli in the same transfer window... They didn't need James Milner... They just wanted him so we couldn't have him and Milner should have been a little more savvy and loyal to have seen that... Back to Delph... Top lad, but like all players that leave us... I will only wish them well if its to another country or due to retirement...
  14. Bit of a silly comment. They've been together since school, I believe, and have more than one (3?) kids together. It's just possible that his relationship with his wife, and her happiness, matters more to him than football. And maybe, just maybe, that's a fair ordering of his priorities for him, no matter how inconvenient it is for us. It is in no way fair as we pay him a hell of alot of money to be a professional and take his job serious. He will only be a professional footballer for a short period of his overall life and if he had any cop on he would make the most of it. It seems to me like he is probably joined at the hip with his missus and that can be a good thing if she is a good woman but can also be a bad thing if she is a selfish control freak or the like. Bottom line, you don't know anything about their home life, relationship, marital situation or whatever. Yeah and I don't care about it, all I care about is what he does for Aston Villa because that's what he is paid to do. I'd be fairly confident that the club see it this way also Completely agree with you. He is being paid thousands a week to kick a ball and his gobby missus can only piss and moan because she misses a shithole like Sheffield that is (in the grand scheme of things) only a small stretch down the road? Its not like he decided to up sticks and play for Sparta Prague! I wonder how much of a whinge she had when he went on loan to Hungary all those years ago!
  15. As world governing body FIFA can impose any ban they like can't they? I'm sure it would come in the guise of a recommendation to UEFA / the FA / The Premier League, but they could push it through I'd have thought. But why should Liverpool be punished for something he did with Uraguay? You would change your tune if it was our player who did something stupid on international duty. EDIT: And as Conner says above, clubs would never let their players go play internationals again if their actions in those games could result in a punishment for the club. Yes, you are right... A lot of us would change our tune if it was our player who did stupid on international duty... But it wasn't our player and its about time someone threw the book at Suarez properly... Also, in retrospect, I seem to remember us lot booing Alpay at Villa Park for sticking a finger in Beckhams face...
  16. Something like that would be a great equalizer, but ultimately it'd just end up with no good players moving to the league. They'd just go to another country that doesn't have those restrictions. The difference with football and American sports is that football is a global game Or just remove transfer fees entirely players are held to their contracts and can only be traded for other players, it may make things difficult if you want to buy someone but at the same time it's likely to mean much shorter contracts as players are going to want to be available as often as possible. It think it would remove a lot of this, players handing in transfer requests etc. Say if Lovern signed there last year, his contract was up with Lyon (and these rules applied) he'd have probably have taken a one year deal or a two year deal, he would have been think (I assume) that he could go there and get relegated and wouldn't want to stick around for another year in such a scenario or that he could have a great season and get an offer from a bigger club, if the season was not a success he could probably go back to Lyon with his tail between his legs. It completely removes player power while they are under contract but at the same time gives them the power to maximize their earnings potential at the end of their contract. It would also mean clubs like us could actually grow without the risk of losing players and one would imagine the league would be more competitive. Be interesting to see how the game evolves across the pond where its developing at quite a pace. The whole 'marquee' player thing makes their whole thing a bit more exciting and like I said, the draft system keeps everyone on an even keel and keeps the regular youth talent coming through. Wouldn't at all be surprised to see their national team challenge and become vastly more competitive in the next couple of decades... All it takes is a 'Golden generation' and with a country the size of USA, thats a massive pool of potential talent to be able to get your players from.
  17. Grew up in Southampton.... Pretty much all my mates are Saints fans and they are my second team... I like to see them do well as long as its not against us so naturally I feel bad for my mates and for the club because what is happening to them is pretty much a carbon copy of what happened to us a few years ago... There should be some rules in place whereby the higher up the league you finish, the less transfers you make unless you sell some of your first team members first... Like the draft system in the states where the worst placed teams get the first pick for the best players Wouldnt work though because its all geared towards separating the top teams from the others...
  18. The chairman and whichever poxy little moneymen he has running around telling him he needs to spend less and cut costs instead of being the billionaire he is supposed to be and plunging money into making our club great. I couldn't care about his well being or the well being of his family... He brought our club with this big scheme of making us great - THATS what I care about... and he has failed in that scheme just like he failed with the Cleveland Browns for years and years... Get him out...
  19. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=297828877052804&set=a.214280598740966.1073741828.214279648741061&type=1&theater I found this newspaper headline that made me chuckle... Hopefully it makes you chuckle too!
  20. What is the general opinion with the lad on here? I have always rated him and was genuinely excited when he signed. First season he was immense but this season, something is clearly up. I am not ITK whatsoever due to the fact I live in Thailand so don't know the word on the street or anyone closely associated with the Villa. All I am getting is that it seems to be his missus is causing issues, mouthing off and distracting him (which wouldn't be the first time for a defender at the Villa *cough* Unsworth *cough cough*) Can anyone shed any light on the situation or at least give opinions on your thoughts on the player? I personally don't know why he isn't playing... or why he wasn't even on the bench last night...
  21. He is our talisman, both down to the fact that he is a homegrown hero and one of the few shining lights that has come out of the academy in decades and also down to the fact that, by Premier league football standards, the rest of our squad is so utterly mediocre... We aren't poor... There are other teams much worse than us (player for player)... But we need him in our side because what he offers us is so much more than anyone else can
  22. Looks like a failed cloning experiment. Easily one of the funniest posts I have ever read mate! I was laughing so hard I woke up my housemate! Good work!
  23. I dont ever remember James being THAT bad... Aside from the FA cup final howler where he pretty much gave the ball to Di Matteo... Never forgave Di Matteo for having the sheer cheek and audacity to actually score...
  24. Best: Bozzie Guzan Spink Worst: Enkleman Sorensen Postma
