    Got a lot of love for the bloke… Villa till he dies… Comes to support us when he isn’t working… Never wanted to leave in the first place but went and made history in the least likely way possible… Got shat on by the previous management when they promised him a contract that never came… but still turns up to support us… Doesnt need to go to the press to say how he doesn’t feel like he is welcome blah blah blah

    If we were still playing Burton Albion, Rotherham et al. in the Championship, Olsen would shine… but we aren’t… and our first choice keeper is arguably the best in the world… No, he didn’t Enckelmen it, but as a backup, he still doesn’t put a glove on Emi… I don’t dislike the bloke… It must be horrible to be a sub goalkeeper for probably the best at that time… But when you know Olsen is playing, it doesn’t inspire confidence… and the opposition know it!

    And I dare you to say - when you saw that Emi was coming off and that Olsen was coming on - that you sat back in your chair and thought “we will be fine, Robin has got this”

    At no point did I blame Olsen completely… but, considering he was the goalkeeper in the second half that we conceded and threw away a two goal lead, he WAS a contributing factor!

    Nothing… but that doesn’t mean that he isn’t good enough to deputise… I don’t dislike the bloke, I don’t want him to fail (especially not whilst representing our club)… but we shit the bed when Emi went off and Robin is not good enough… you don’t think Chelsea got the bit in their teeth when they knew our World Cup winning goalkeeper was off with an injury? im sure Olsen is a top bloke and I don’t hate him… but if you’re a footballer and you want to score a goal, and you’ve got a choice of playing against Emi or Olsen - you’re going to choose Olsen

    Yeah, I did pal, from start to finish… and I saw us 2-0 up with Emi on the pitch, and 2-2 at full time with 45 minutes of Olsen… We were SHITE in the second half, collectively… but don’t tell me that we wouldn’t have stood a better chance of walking away with all three points had Emi stayed on… Thats why he is our first choice goalkeeper…

    Go on… Tell me that you had full faith and confidence that we could go on to win the game as soon as you knew Emi was off and Olsen was on… The collective sound of every bum hole of every Villa fan around the country tightened at the news… And that’s not because we didn’t want him to do well… but because we knew he wasn’t as reliable as Emi… facts are facts…

    Is it? Emi is quite obviously a far superior goalkeeper than Olsen… His reaction saves are second to none… Who would you rather in goal facing a shot like that and trust to save it? Emi? Or Olsen?

    Physical, pressing teams is one thing… Yanking at our players shirts and pulling them to the ground and the ref being completely oblivious to it is something else entirely
