  1. abel hernandez is available on a free after turning down Hulls contract offer I think he would be a good start.
  2. exciting transfer windows. better interaction with the fans. Backed his managers. You can argue he picked the wrong managers but from my point of view he has been a breath of fresh air after the latter years of Lerner.
  3. I am not saying I want Moyes I am unsure on Brucey but the man making the shortlist will have those sort of names! Manager is the most important position in the club and I think should be the most well paid. If rumours are to be believed about certain players wages you can't really get a manager in on the cheap and pay him peanuts despite FFP.
  4. if Bruce goes and Wyness chooses it's gonna be Moyes.
  5. There was a plan it was give it to Snodgrass or Adomah. Or hoof it long. Then it was give it to Jack. Fairly basic plan but it worked a lot of the time because there are some seriously shit teams in this league. The seriously shit teams are still there but will we have the 3 players he relied on is the question. 1 gone 2 left at the moment. Kodija > Grabben Green > Snodgrass New Loan > Terry Steer > Johnstone Think we all agree Jack is key keep him we have a chance whoever is manager.
  6. if you get rid of Bruce you have to pay off all the back room staff too so it's not just his wages you need to worry about.
  7. 40m about 5 years ago? That was only payable when they got relegated. Such a genius idea to give a 40m fine to clubs that are skint!! How do you pay 40m out the club's coffers without breaking FFP again it's farcical.
  8. I read somewhere that 12 clubs had broken FFP in our league alone last season. Let's see what happens to them first before we start worrying. My guess is it will be a transfer ban nothing more.
  9. if infrastructure and so on is outside of FFP we need to be hiding a few million in the costs to offset player purchases and wages.
  10. Think he and his backers have plans for the city of Birmingham not just Villa of course it's easier to get investment when we are in the Premier League but I don't see his long term plan changing.
  11. If we manage to keep the core of the team and sign the better loan players no reason we cannot win the league. Grealish only played half a season and Kodija a few games. Keep Bruce. If we have to sell a few to balance the books and rely on bringing the youth players through then you need a new manager. I think this team would have got top 2 without the injuries to key players and add in the fact the teams coming down are no great shakes and 2 of the best teams Wolves and Fulham went up there is nothing to fear. No reason we cannot sign Snoddy and Johnson. Amavi money and the saving on Gabbys wages should cover the chunk of that. Bree to replace Hutton. Elphick to partner Chester saving Terrys wages. Kodija to replace Grabben. OHare for Onomah. It sounds easy it's probably not but if that did happen and we keep Jack you would want Bruce to manage.

Amavi money to come in at around 8 million. Sell on clauses on Traore and Vertout another few million. Simples! Add all the wages we are getting rid of and the fact Wolves have basically showed the way to circumnavigate FFP I think we will be ok kids!
  13. Meh I think the only benefit of going up was the money so many things are better in this league. I wanted us to win of course but you can’t say Fulham did not deserve to go up over the season. Interesting summer ahead. Said in before though but you gotta play your energetic defensive midfielder against passing teams and that is what cost us in this game. If Grealish had scored that mazy run I would have cried! UTV
  14. I am amazed an owner has not challenged FFP with freedom of trade or something I mean Bosman did for players so an owner with billions could argue they should be able to spend their money how they see fit. As long as they did not saddle a club with debt what is the big deal.
  15. think of buying from a tout as a game of poker you have to wait till as close to kick off as possible. If you don't mind sitting in with Fulham fans I would guess you will get one below face value as they will be looking to get rid. Remember Wembley holds 90k both clubs had 38k tickets so there are another 14k tickets floating about somewhere. Some people get so pissed they can't make the game too so you could get lucky. If I could not get a ticket I would fancy my chances of paying face value as pretty high.
  16. Hoping I am in the mood to watch this somewhere around Wembley after our game should be a cracker. I am going for 3-3 aet and pens. Liverpool to win which I don't mind as fed up of Real winning it every year.
  17. Wow The Alan Parsons Project better buck their ideas up in lowly 15th!
  18. Don't fret people they release new blocks all the time.
  19. Moor St to High Wycombe then to Wembley £30.50 return.
  20. I was definitely a Bruce out man after we lost a couple around Christmas it was not just because we lost it was the way we lost. It seemed we were not trying to win and to me that is criminal. However be it the Agnew appointment the return of Jack or Bruce seeing the light something seemed to change and things got better. Yes we still had bad results but the losses were more through tiredness and he even admitted to mistakes in not rotating. The team and the fans have grown closer up and till this point just 1 hurdle to overcome. Can we do it yes we can. Will we do it who knows but 50k Villa fans all believing we can will be a sight to behold. Win or lose I think Steve deserves another shot and I can't believe I am saying that when I was convinced he should go.
  21. Big Sam to take over Stoke they would be a perfect match
  22. Have you not been to a game this season? That is where I think the tickets will sell out but it's the criteria before general sale.
  23. you would think general sale will be in person only. The website would crash if it's a free for all! Also allows ticket touts to have a field day!
  24. The only decision to be made is Jedi/Whelan/Thor. Jedi was immense against Boro but that is because they hoof it so his head ball magnet did the trick. Fulham play it on the floor out from the keeper and through midfield. We need to push them from the front and cause mistakes. This worked against them at Villa Park think Whelan played that game. Thor is more energetic than Whelan and has a goal in him so it's a difficult decision for the manager. That is what he is paid for though! Personally I would play Thor but I like a gamble and Bruce does not so expect to see Jedi there.
  25. the capacity includes corporate and also Boro were only given 2000 seats where there are normally 2800. Blame the prawn sandwich brigade!
