I get this a lot. To take it further, when I'm in conversation with someone and think of something to say, moments later I can't remember if I've already said it or not. Sometimes I've already said it and they look at me like I'm insane, other times by the time I've concluded that I haven't said it the converastion has move on and it doesn't matter. I'm just like this. I find myself preceding things I say with "Erm, have I already asked you..." or "have I already said...", although most of the time I just don't bother because I'm not sure.

Nice to hear that it's going well, Wainy Are you still managing to catch all the Villa games some way or another then? I'm still planning on going, but it'll probably be 2012 now because the girlfriend and I have decided to do our PGCEs first. And the food over there, what are your favourites? Is a lot of it fish-based? How available/cheap is western food (the missus is a funny one and has a few allergies)! Anyway, keep us up to date with how it's going!

But you claimed Messi could perform in Xavi's role to a "near similar" standard. Although you still clearly rate Xavi very highly, I think Zatman's main point was to disagree with this, and I concur. No-one in the world, Messi included, could perform as well as Xavi in his role.

I bought the Korean film Old Boy on DVD today. I saw a bit of it on TV recently, but I'd missed the start. I then started to fall asleep with half an hour or so remaining, which may make it sound boring, but I'd been up since the early hours of the morning and was on at about 3-5am the following day! What I did see was fantastic, though, and I'm looking forward to watching it properly.

I agree. Lots of people over here haven't seen much of him so automatically don't class him as a great player. Fair enough to those who have seen him and don't rate him, in that case it is just down to personal opinion. I just think the former are in the majority. I remember watching him play in the CL last year, can't remember who against, but all the commentators kept banging on about was his poor record against English sides. And then he scored, and they made a big deal about him finally scoring against English opposition. Like he cares!

WHAT??!?!?!?! He won 6 league titles in a row, Ajax, Juve, Inter and Barca and is now having a great year at AC Milan. But he never really did anything in England, and that's what matters!

different players completely and cant really compare them. Exactly. Iniesta and Xavi aren't goalscorers, particularly Xavi. In fact, those two and Messi are the best three players in the world, for me. Ronaldo is one of the few players who's in their bracket imo, but Messi stands out. As I said in a previous thread, I believe that if Messi wins a World Cup, he'll go down as the greatest footballer of all time.

Anyone know a decent mobile phone contact on offer anywhere? £25/month tops, but preferably less - in fact as little as possible. If it has cashback on Quidco too then all the better, but not vital. Mainly need lots of texts (unlimited ideally) and some minutes too, but not loads. It's for the girlfriend, so any fancy phone with internet etc is good, but she also needs a new laptop so if anyone knows of any deals which include one then let me know
