I've played with people who put money that is taken in income tax, and from them in chance and community chest etc, into the middle of the board. When someone lands on the Free Parking space, they take whatever's in the middle of the board. Really annoys me when people insist on playing it like that! I have the Monopoly game on my iPod too, and they have an option to do this, so it must be relatively common.

Just got the new patch but haven't played yet. Not sure if I'll notice any difference in my saved game? Still not looking forward to another season in the Conference. Finished 2nd in my third year as Mansfield boss and lost to Cheltenham in the play-off final. I just want to get promoted!

I also think it should be a choice for the pub. I'm not a fan of sitting in smoke, but I don't think it'd be that bad in most places, particularly if there were smoking and non-smoking areas, etc. And if it were to save a few pubs, all the better.

I'm managing Mansfield. Got rid of all but one player before the start of the second season (after finishing 5th in my first) and improved the squad quite a bit. Got the younger James Collins from Villa several others. Ended up with a reasonably talented yet very young squad, but did have a very good pre-season. However, I had a terrible start to the campaign, only managing four points from my first six matches. I assume it's because the new team needed time to gel. Picked up form and finished fourth but, as I said, got knocked out at exactly the same stage by the same team. I'm picking up a few players now before the next season, and hopefully letting a few go. Don't want to change things too much though and risk having a similar start to last time! I'd like to improve my coaching setup etc, but don't want to take a significant chunk out of my wage budget by spending it on coaching staff etc. I'm hoping the funds will be there to do that if I ever get promoted!

Aaaaagh. Just got knocked out of the Conference play-offs in the semi-finals, by Luton, for the second year running.
