In defence of Kohli how often did he come in when Anderson and Broad were still bowling with the new ball.

If he does come in on saturday it will be for Richardson I think.

I agree Dave. I think they have quality batsmen but they have no experience of English conditions, so unless the BCCI insist they play some county cricket or they change the scheduling so its not so compressed, allowing for some county games then nothing will change in the future. All those players you mentioned played county cricket. Its good for England that they turned the series around but just as I wasn't too depressed about our defeat to Sri Lanka, I'm not getting carried away by this win against India . Theres still a lot of work to be done if we are going to regain the ashes next summer.

Yes its a long time until the next test series. Now its the one dayers and build up for the world cup in Australia. Bet India do better do better in the odi series. Kohli will be a different player

This has to be the poorest Indian touring side in history....I know we beat them 4-0 or 5-0 last time here but at least the likes of Dravid showed some fight. .

Its not just their defence, theres a lack of quality in their midfield as well. I just don't see them anywhere near 4th.

Yes his touch was very bad but you have to give him credit for the way he reacted and finished with his right foot. I think he would do better up front where Gabby played.

He wasn't exposed yesterday by his lack of pace. He may be against quicker forwards particularly at home when we are pressing a game. Thats my big doubt about him and why I will reserve judgement until he's played a few games.

For me Westwood is a must starter every week. He consistently puts in good performances, goes about things quietly and effectively and uses the ball well.

Yes an excellent debut and seemed to form a good partnership with Vlaar but its only one game. We didn't judge Baker and Clarke over one match. I'll wait and see how he does over a longer period before forming an opinion.

No we shouldn't get carried away by one performance. After all we had an even better result on the same day last year.

Excellent team performance. Thought everybody played there part. Hard to pick out a motm. Just gave it Vlaar.

20 points behind Liverpool last season though. I know they have lost Suarez but they are stronger in other areas now. are they? Cant see Lallana, Lambert and markovic combined getting as many goals as Suarez got not to mention the assists. defence isn't any better either Still think they have a better squad than United though!
