  1. Didn't notice that Blandy.... Bells innings was fantastic. Wish Woakes had been given more than one over. He looks to have gained a bit of pace. 87.9 MPH tops in that first over....Dissapointed Moeen didn't make runs on that wicket but you can't have everything i guess..
  2. Yes and thats the most important thing not personal milestones...Its important we win this match because to win the last two for the series is a big ask.
  3. Bell had a bit of luck for a change with the LBW that wasn't given. Hope he can take advantage of it tomorrow... Lets make 550 and bowl them out twice... The rosebowl can be a batting paradise though. Rememeber 2012 on the 4th day when Warwickshire struggled to get a wicket against Hampshire...thus allowing Lancs to win the title....
  4. I think India will regret only going into this match with three seamers and Jadeja... Pleased Woakes gets his chance...Been carrying the drinks too often for me...

Yes they'll be one of the teams competing for the title....
  6. yes its about time we did...Essex will be strong favourites though but t20 can be a great leveller...
  7. and a lot longer since we've reached finals day... In fact it was the first t20 competition we did it... i can remember quarter defeats at Surrey in a bowl off in 2005, 2007 we lost to Lancs, Sussex in 2009 and then Hampshire....
  8. I agree. We need to get Laurie Evans higher up the order so he can make more impact.... In the games where we have been up against it against Notts and Yorkshire he has been the one to win us the game.....Tough game at Chelmsford. They have a lot more experience than us at this stage of the competition,
  9. So Calum Chambers to Arsenal. Good young fullback. Southampton will be unrecognisable this season from the team they had last season
  10. Her shed was shown at the end but I was given wrong information. Its featured on the next programme. Its in oswestry, Shropshire. Her name is Alison. Sorry!
  11. I searched for a bears forum not yesterday! needless to say, your's was on top! I searched for a bears forum and it was just a load of hairy blokes in leather thongs sniffing poppers Hope its exceptable to put links on here... http://www.bearsfans.co.uk Just joined up. Not sure how often I'll post (what with my Villa Talk commitments and all ), but I'm looking forward to being able to keep up with some Bears related talk, while I continue my exile up north! You're very welcome Dave... Too many Blues fans on there so good to have another Villa fan join...
  12. 8.00 pm channel 4 Amazing Spaces Shed of the Year - Kim's wife is on it...

  14. Yes guess the wicket deteriorated badly final day...
  15. Oh ok i first met him at Edgbaston in 2006. he covered Warwickshire for the Birmingham post at the time but he's moved onto bigger and better things now...
  16. slightly better actor than diver...
  17. I went to school with George. Was that in Somerset? He told me he's from Taunton or somewhere around there and is Somerset fan although he's covered Warwickshire so much I always thought he was a bear...
  18. No it wasn't the reason. That happened before anybody knew Kim was ill..Kim called me to tell me the doctors coudn't do anything and a week later he was dead. .Kim had his own advertising business in London and then moved up to Shropshire and took over Spin Cricket magazine with George Dobell who works for cicinfo now and is the most knowledgeable county cricket journalist around...Kim also started my bearsfans forum with me as an alternative to the official one which no longer exists...
  19. I live in Sussex and knew of Kim through a couple of message boards. I never got to meet him and he's probably the only person who I have genuinely mourned without having met them. I had so much banter with him, he seemed like a top bloke. I might pop along to the last day tomorrow, in fact I served a Villa fan at work today who had made the trip down to Horsham, I wondered whether it might be anyone who posts on here. Probably a long shot. Yes I went to see him a few days before he died with a former Warwickshire player and a lady called Jane who I met through Kim. She had stage 3 ovarian cancer when i first met her 9 years ago and he helped her through it. Top bloke who I could never win an argument with...
  20. Kervezee looked great in his early days at Worcester. Is he getting back to his best now!
  21. As i wrote that Trott is out so theres still a possibility we could loose i guess if we get bowled out after lunch and then who knows what the wicket will be like on the final day...
  22. Its fitting that Trott gets his first come back hundred against Sussex. A good friend of mine died after a short illness in January. Kim Jones, editior of the spin magazine and beyond the boundary, A Warwickshire fan with close ties with Sussex and Trott's number 1 fan and friend..... Regarding a result, I can't see anything other than a draw...
  23. Late 60s was lower and when we got relegated in 87/88 Taylor took over and said the club was a shambles and I think we were getitng about 13k gates..
