    I was baffled at the time as MON got rid of both Davis and Aaron Hughes who were fellow Northern Irishman! Protestant/Catholic thing? Both had long steady careers after Vila. Not fantastic but both were a lot better than a lot of defenders and midfielders we bought for years afterwards for more money.

    Been reading this thread backwards so was worried and now pleased to hear he is nearly back to training. I was concerned that we were not treating him correctly like we did with Kozak, but sounds like he is on track.

    I doubt they could give him even 25% of his wage he is on at Villa that is the problem.

    Hmm I think they might struggle a bit. They will lose the home advantage from Elland Road for a large chunk of the season. Bielsea tends to go stale at a club after about 3 seasons. I just think the type of game they play could be picked off quite easily in the prem when compared to the championship. We will see.

    McNulty thinks Leeds will come 11th. I think that's a tad optimistic. If they play the same as have done in the Championship they could get found out. Shef Utd have a much more awkard style which prem clubs were not used to. Leeds just play the same as a lot of decent prem sides, but with a lot worse players.
