King is more consistent. Gabby had about 3/4 good seasons and the rest of the time was a useless fat lump.

Its a 2 yr deal, with a offer to extend for another year. By then he will be 32 anyway. I will be surprised to still see Wilson at Newcastle in 3 years time. They will be paying clubs to take him on loan in the Championship.

The UK has one of the highest prision populations per head of all developed countries, yet we have a high crime rate. Look at the US as well. Locking more people up is not the long term solution, it is crime preventable programmes that are run in the communities. The Tories massively cut back on knive crime preventive programmes about a decade ago and now it is coming home to roost. It costs nearly 38 grand a year to fund one prisoner whilst in jail. Wishy-washy liberal rant over.

Yes. How much I am going to get paid. And how much cut of it my agent will be getting. Joking aside if its just a small difference then yes I can see it. But if we are miles off due to our wage structure we are going to really struggle to recruit this season.

Same price as James Rodriquez. However I dread to think what wages he is on at Everton. But at least they had the sense of giving him a 2 year contract, unlike the mental 5 year one Newcastle have given to Wilson.

Tbh regardless if Watkins likes Smith, if he can go to another club like Palace and get paid about 20 grand a week more, why wouldn't he just go there?

Yeah well we are not going to get Edouard are we? Obviously he will go to someone like Leceister for 40 mil and a 100K plus a week contract. Getting Watkins in now will be a major achievement. Our transfer policy is increasingly looking like the Christmas eve shop at the petrol station.

I know everyone said be patient and it does not matter what order they come in, but I am still surprised that our first signing was for a right back when we have two okayish ones on the books already. Adding to our forward line is absolutely critical or we will be one of the favourites to go down again.
