  1. This. I don't believe in character assassination. Here was a young lad who was brought into a newly promoted team in the Premier League and was expected to instantly lead the line with practically no other support. I also feel that he was never really played in the current position as he never looked like a out and out striker but more of a deep lying forward. The result was mixed to say the least however he showed some flashes of promise. Just as he was having his best game for us he was taken out by a fellow professional in a foul bordering on GBH. He missed well over a year of football and we have moved on. It has not worked out but I wish him well at Brugge to get his career back on track.
  2. Safe to say the league cup is not a priority this season
  3. Tara Wes. Sorry it didn't work out and yes Mee is a total clearing in the woods.
  4. I always liked his 'this is all rather silly and I'd rather be home listening to jazz records' look when playing.
  5. A brilliant jazz drummer who seemingly inadvertently ended up in being in one of the worlds greatest ever rock and roll bands.
  6. Just bought a 2015 Skoda Fabia. Does what it says on the tin and £20 to tax. I read somewhere the average age of a Fabia car owner is 55, so that really highlights my rock and roll lifestyle. Middle age is upon me.
  7. Just shout repeatably put in the mixer, whilst simultaneously holding a pie and a mars bar.
  8. Meh who cares. Its is quite hard to defend titles so probably Chelsea for the league, Man City for the League Cup and finally the Champions League, and Liverpool or United for the FA Cup. Tuchel will get sacked midway through next season. Rinse and repeat.
  9. We basically had one in John Robertson in the MON days. O'Neill was useless once he retired from his coaching team.
  10. We lose noise because of 4 separate stands. Although traditionalists would be up in arms if we ever rebuild the North with a wrap around stand I guarantee you the atmosphere would be even better. Evening games have better atmospheres because of the number of ales consumed by the patrons.
  11. Danny Murphy is not a fan therefore its a great appointment.
  12. No he will do at least 8-9 changes. Standard early round league cup line up.
  13. Would tick a lot of boxes but is a few years older than the 'normal' NWSE signing. Though that seems to be changing with Young and Ings coming in. I don't know I just have a feeling that we have done our business unless a ridiculously good deal is in the offering on deadline day. I think Purslow is wanting Deano to start playing our kids a a bit more this season as back up options.
  14. As being a multisport event being held in Birmingham. Which has never happened before.
  15. I will repeat myself- I have got 6 events which cost between £15 to £20 each. Boxing, Weightlifting, Squash, Volleyball, Hockey, and Badminton. If you wanted to watch the 100 metre final in the best seats then of course it will be expensive. If you look around for lots of other events I think the prices are very reasonable for a once in a lifetime experience.
  16. I think people need to remember how they felt/looked 11 years ago and compare to what they are now, and they might understand it a bit more. Its a lifetime ago.
  17. Wow only 2 pages think I better bump this up. Got tickets for all I applied for apart from Athletics (boo) and the Basketball. Might try again for the athletics in the second ballot as I missed out in the Olympics as well. All my tickets cost between £15 to £20 which is very reasonable. Everyone always moans about the cost of these events and there is a debate if money could be spent better elsewhere, but I really think it will be good for Birmingham and the wider region. We all know that the west midlands is chronically underrepresented in all sorts of things and for many its just space between London and the North so will be good to challenge pre conceptions. Its just a shame that Coventry's capital of culture this year has been really impacted by Covid.
  18. If we do really well we could get to Wembley again and lose to a totally disinterested Manchester City.
  19. A shithole which has had a 20% price increase in the last year apparently.
  20. Is it? I thought they were all fleeing to places like Cornwall and Shropshire?
