If a Premier League club wanted him he would have been 10-15m more. It's a bit of a glorified loan for him really. I expect him to be back in the prem after a couple of seasons.

2011- Signing Bent and then selling Young in the summer as the guy to put the crosses in 2009- Signing Emile Heskey rather than a quality forward to fire us to a Champions League spot 2005-Signing Milan Baros and the selling Nobby Solano as the guy to put the crosses in.... And so on and so forth. As it was ever thus. Even as a kid who wasn't a die hard fan at the time I felt somewhat underwhelmed when reading on teletext that we had signed John Fashanu. Agwoohar.

Er no. He was on borderline premier league wages when we signed him about 25K a week I believe. Since then he has had a contract extension so most be on at least 30K+ a week. Most championship players are on 10 grand or less a week.

Its fine. Third kits are meant to be a bit wacky. Probably get worn 3-4 times tops. The best kits we have had by a mile for years was the Roper ones in the promotion year.

Our best signings in the Championship where probably ones which only cost a few mil like Conor and McGinn or loans like Tammy and Mingsy. Even Whelan was a decent buy. The big signings were utter disasters like McCormack and Hogan.

Kane will probably have to wait until he is 30 to try and force a move with 1 year left on his deal. Or just give up and sign a extended contract up to 35 and earn a fortune.

Says it all that their revenue and wage spending is about 30% of all of Ligue 1. Lyon and Marseille, big clubs in their own right, are miles away from even competing with them on a level playing field.

Its unfair to judge someone in half a season's performance in a struggling side in your first season in the Premier League. I just never thought we played him correctly as he seemed much more comfortable playing with 2 up front which Smith hasn't ever really done. Makes you wonder on the scouting.
