  1. We have in the past tried secondary ticketing platforms but the club gave up on it. And the club shop/shirts have been run by fanatics for a good few years and the advantages seem to be debatable.
  2. Christ at this rate we are going to have to play Chambers after spending the entire January trying to get rid of him.
  3. Surely Frankfurt have to be seen as a potential winner? Won the Europa a few yrs back and are currently 6th in the Bundesliga. And Fiorentina as well, given they were runners-up last season.
  4. Wow you mean something reported on social media turned out to be utter horseshit?
  5. I still remember the infamous letter was leaked supposedly by the players in summer 2006. Within a day O'Leary was thrown out of bodymoor quicker than you could say an honest bunch of lads.
  6. Whether it is true or not it all adds to a rather large communication vacuum ever since Mr Heck became our supremo. The only certainty is that we have still got ambitious owners and a elite coach. Which balances out all of the other shite which has happened off the pitch since the summer.
  7. Isn't that the Aston Tavern? The Villa Tavern is up on Holborn road past Aston station, and a nice little boozer to boot. Edit- sorry that has already been clarified.
  8. Well that is what did with the trinity road, and in return we paid to put in the playground and basketball court over the road.
  9. They are screwed aren't they. Sunak is losing votes to the right to reform and to the left from labour and greens, and the moderate tory vote to the libdems. What a shame.
  10. If he does go, what will happen to the badge? Paused, back to this season's one? Another consultation? Will someone please think of the badge.
  11. So out of all of the ties, how many of them are the europa league side ahead of the 2nd place conference teams? Just getting a gauge of the difference in quality between the two competitions.
  12. My take is that despite the oodles of cash in the premier league, day to day management of football clubs is still fairly small time and amateurish. We have owners who aren't really involved day to day and were willing to replace one CEO with another one who had zero experience of the Premier League and basically gave him carte blanche to do whatever the heck he wanted. And all of the various cock ups off the pitch this season can be tranched back to one guy.
  13. Yeah I booked something at a good price. Thought would go to some of the greek islands after, as that has been on my list for a while. The way I look at it if Villa get to the final, brilliant, if not still got a nice holiday planned.
  14. Ah the hotel. Wasn't that Doug's plan for the Holte Hotel? Has the club actually confirmed that they will be redeveloping the stumps this summer into the GA+ Warehouse experience yet? If they can't even tart up an old brick shed then my expectations will be even further lowered.
  15. Pep has also introduced the smart trouser and trainer combo, which alone should be an arrestable offense.
  16. If you think traffic is bad in a 40,000 stadium in our current location with 2 railway stations, near the city centre and M6, what would a 70,000 stadium look next to the NEC? Totally unsustainable location. I don't see any big plans for us now, just gonna squeeze more revenue out of the current set up. Basically big price rises for the same facilities.
  17. We do have the ability- we have the land, and the approved plans ready to go, and yet for some reason, it's been pulled. In the time it's taken for Villa to rebuild the Trinity (which I noticed is now starting to rust) and procrastinate on the North Stand at least three times, Liverpool has gone from planning an entirely new stadium, buying out the neighborhood and building two new massive stands.
  18. Well each to their own and he was highly regarded by his peers but never really been a fan of radio presenters. I was forced to listen to Radio 2 every day at a job in the mid to late 00's. A few years ago I accidentally switched to radio fab fm and nothing had changed in the format 15 years later. Still he made people happy.
  19. Yeah something's happened. Emery played him far more in the first two months when he was rusty. and now he is match fit he barely gets more than 10 minutes at most in a game. It was a bit of a gamble but at least it was a loan so we can shake hands at the end of the season and move on.
  20. Obviously, it is for a massive 30th anniversary of the Coca-Cola Cup win versus Newton Heath. I expect a huge cola fountain on display in front of the lower grounds at the end of the season.
  21. It's like the footballing gods have had a good look at Villa and thought 'no these fans are enjoying themselves far too much'. We have been shat on for about 6 weeks. Stalling in the league, our annual short-lived FA Cup run, and now more season-ending injuries. Ever since the Sheffield game. Felt like a sliding doors moment to go top, we didn't, and have been largely underwhelming since. And the Bartons closed. Damm you, Damm you all to hell.
  22. Just need Watkins to do his ACL next to round off the season.
  23. Light? We have no options, we have loaned out the only option.
