  1. Really made me laugh this typo. We must not lose, and we probably need to win.
  2. I would heartily disagree with that.
  3. I didn't ever rate him highly myself to be honest. But sending him off when we're almost in a position of having to change formation or play...Neil Taylor...I'd rather he stayed.
  4. I like Bjorn. Think he was good yesterday but yes the one at the end is just death. Don't know what he was doing. Spurs had given up and were not even pushing. Gutting. I'd start him next game, if Mings is fit I'd obviously bring him back but I'd drop Hause. Funnily enough the guy Reims brought into the side to replace him, Axel Disasi, is some player. We should try get him in the summer.
  5. He did and it's incredibly frustrating, very unlike Doug. Probably the only time this season I've seen him shite himself. He's been tackled in his own half and remained calmer than he was there. If we can stay up he'll be a huge player for us going forward.
  6. Meant to say when that first was posted on here. What it does show IMO is the worst three sides in the league can't help but be making last ditch challenges/blocks whatever. It's well known how many blocks/tackles/deflections we invite because teams have a million shots against us every game. Our big problem for me is that we come flying out and try and win the ball off teams when we just aren't good enough to. Against better sides, in general play our whole team should be 25 yards deeper than they are, the gap in behind yesterday was so easy to play in to. We're giving teams 40 yards of space to play into and it's a silly approach when we can't close the game down in midfield due to personnel and formation.
  7. I've got a funny feeling he will as well. If it's only Utd from the UK after him, I honestly think he might sign a new massive deal. 3 years on his current one? 4 years and making £150k a week isn't that much different in terms of what we'd be asking for him anyway. Depends on the euros some of it. No doubt in my mind he'll be one of the stars of the tournament if he plays every game, England can definitely win it. If that happens, Barca and Real will definitely be in having a look, that'll be harder to turn down.
  8. Also, just like everyone else in the league apart from Liverpool, they sit deeper than us. We are so high all the time. It's OK if you can run and press the ball to stop them picking passes through, but we can't.
  9. Proper all-round striker. Really good. Was he tired does anyone think? He seemed OK to me when he got taken off, seemed still to be making something from most of the nothing balls in his direction. We need him on the pitch for 90 mins.
  10. He definitely knows what he's trying to do. His body just isn't letting him. Nerves really kicked in today which I didn't even see in the City game, he was panicking on the ball constantly. Frustrating he's still in no shape tbh, yes it isn't easy but I'd have thought we could have got more done with him in 4 weeks, especially when he's been getting first team minutes. He needs a tough, very unpleasant pre-season to get himself sorted. As has been said above, we don't have that.
  11. Couldn't believe he came off. He's incredibly up and down and when he's up, at least keep him on the pitch as much as you can ffs.
  12. No Jack opens up many questions. The thought of watching Wes losing out to Rotherham defenders time after time makes me sad. We absolutely must keep McGinn if we do drop.
  13. He's either an idiot or incredibly selfish. Having watched him this season, it's quite clear his football intelligence is nil so I'll be going for the former.
  14. That pen is absolute bollocks I'm afraid. It's a 50/50 call anyway, he's on his way down already. What exactly is the criteria for going back and looking at decisions? Because for us, it's just if we're **** defending them. Remember McGinn being hauled down at spurs first game of the season? That was much more a pen that this. We've been nailed by refereeing and VAR this season.
  15. I think it lies. Burnley are 11th. Newcastle are 13th. Points wise it's very tight. Teams are jumping 6 or 7 places in two weeks. We're literally 1 point from 19th, it's no good saying we're currently outside the bottom 3 so we're OK. We're going to need some luck to stay up. We've got absolutely eff all so far this season. I haven't seen many on here who have been against Smith since he got here. Genuine posters I mean, not trolls.
  16. Over £30m on two players that aren't good enough for a top 6 Championship side. Devastating. For all the mistakes Smith and the players have made this season, Suso made it so hard for us to succeed this season.
  17. What's your point? Will mitigating circumstances keep us up?
  18. Because we've been one of the worst three teams in the league? When you've had as much bad luck as we have, you have to take your chances and yet again today we haven't. Southampton is monstrous.
  19. I've thought it was clear for months. There's a tiny glimmer in that there's a couple of other sides not better than us above us who could drop in. Feels like everyone else is able to nick points they don't deserve and we have to absolutely kill ourselves for anything and still miss out on points we do!
  20. On another day, Luiz's shot skids off Davies and in. Spurs come out more and we score again. We trashed them early on. Grealish should have scored instead of passing it as well. The tactic of trying to score to win games isn't the worst one tbh. We could sit back and get bummed in this league, at least we're trying to win. If we had McGinn fit I think we'd look a different side.
  21. We will. No one is going to come in and pay £15m for him.
  22. Just watched the goal back. What the hell is he doing Spurs have stopped, it's over, they're going home with a point. He runs backwards where can **** see it's two of our players going for it and bangs into the back of one of them. What's the plan? What's he trying to do?
  23. Midfield much more of an issue than defence.
