  1. Don’t see why he couldn’t have taken Steers place in the squad (unless there is a 3 keeper rule) as we could easily play an U21 keeper in the the unlikely event that both keepers are injured. He seems like the type that just wants to play football too so this must be a real kick in the teeth that he now cannot play for 4 months.
  2. Lovely to hear. Big love to your son and family.
  3. Really impressed with our second half showing after a rubbish first half. Luiz was great today. Had 100% pass accuracy until his last pass (ambitious through ball) that was just cut out. Enjoyed chatting to the other Villa “fan” on Facebook that said he’d been rubbish and his passing had been trash so I checked and he’d had a 100% pass accuracy out of 40 passes. Really showed how much certain fans have a real agenda and are blind to what is happening right in front of their eyeballs.
  4. I believe he could possibly work in the 8 role now as well that we have a more solid base in better centre backs and Kamara protecting. He certainly has the work rate and strength for the role.

    Keinan Davis

He is a very good player who is more often than not injured. Guess that answers your question.
  6. Exactly. Both signings that the fans were delighted with at the time. Ings had an amazing amount of goal contributions in the time he played and that was with a lot of his wayward finishing which surprised me. 99% of fans were delighted that Bailey signed and couldn’t believe we got him. It was incredibly unfortunate that he spent most of the season injured after having a decent injury record previously. It was always going to be a season of transition after our talisman left, whom pretty much was our game plan, to integrate all the new players.
  7. He’s great but has had serious injury problems unfortunately. Season before last he only managed a handful of games for U21s and then last season when he went to Stoke he was superb for about 7 matches and the best player about 80% of the time but then got injured for a couple of months again and struggled to get back in. Much like Keinan, if he can stay fit he’ll be an asset.
  8. Archer is actually deceptively strong though and often used his strength and low centre of gravity to hold of the biggest brutes of the championship before turning them.
  9. He really does play like a much more experienced centre back than he is. Hopefully by the time he is 19 or so he’ll be ready to sample first team football whereas most centre backs are more like 22 before they’re trusted.
  10. Really don’t think we should sign Ben Mee after what he did to Wes!
  11. Don’t think there is any point in loaning out a player that hasn’t ever been fit for us. He’s only ever had a few matches to build up fitness after injuries and then got injured. Not sure it’s worth it unless we sign a great replacement.
  12. Ramsey was superb in this match and he and Tim completely changed the game when they came on but did deserve to be dropped after a rubbish semi performance. Amazing how much you can see Jacob in his play with the driving runs.
  13. Changed the game completely (along with Ramsey).
  14. Carsley is U21 manager and has Southgates defensive traits so strangely enough would have played Tim. This is Ian Foster (whoever he is) and he decided we wouldn’t need a DM against Israel.
  15. Ramsey wasn’t good in last match but Iroegbunam has been super and broken up everything. Only problem now is that the manager won’t want to be seen as making a defensive substitution and it also takes Tim at least 10 minutes to grow into games. He had to start really.
  16. Really strange he was dropped for this one. Could understand why he was taken off in previous 2 after yellow cards I’m both but he was the one cutting out all the opponents attacks. We have literally nobody else to play that role and it’s showing again and again. Hopefully come on at half time.
  17. Pretty sure if he can stay injury free we’ve got a hell of a player on our hands.
  18. Would still loan him out next season though if we can get him to sign the contract to get used to playing against the Big old meat heads of the championship
  19. He’s amazing. A lot of people get caught up with the fact that he hasn’t signed the contract yet and the that he hasn’t performed like a superstar in his few appearances in the Premier League (many out of position). He has come from age groups were he’s levels above and has had to adapt to playing against much better players so will need to adjust his game.
  20. Shame you can’t bet on next goal scorer in these u19 matches
  21. Actually don’t think the manager liked his performance In the last match (weirdly) due to his 2 misses. He would have rested Carney if he was resting players. Hopefully will come in and show his quality though.
