Redevelopment has to be considered quite quickly I would have thought? Should Xia's hopes/plans come to fruition then it wouldn't make financial sense to redevelop the ground if we were say back amongst the top six of the Premiership. Start Monday I say .

Moyes was 25-1 until yesterday. Most are offering 14-1 now, although Betfair may still be offering 20-1. Think these odds will continue to drop over the next few days, especially if Wyness is confirmed. It's exciting all of a sudden.

Agree, I'd be shocked, surprised and over the moon. Think Moyes now has something to prove to a lot of people and could really get us going again.

Certainly no ITK here, but if the sale happens shortly and Wyness does arrive, could Moyes be tempted I wonder? I'd be happy with that.

Don't really care about the final sale figure as long as it's finally done by the end of the week/month. Hopefully, new manager next week and the rebuilding job starts. Big task ahead, but with finance certainly not impossible and starting to feel hopeful again already.

Wouldn't be keen on this to be honest. Would have preferred Arteta, but think he is set to retire. A better shout might be James Morrison at Albion, who I think is out of contract this summer and is only 29. Agree with needing some experience in the middle though, Barton/Barry have also been good suggestions on here.

All the suggestions in this thread are worthy in what has been a dire season (Gil especially). However, i do look back in fondness at Gestede's v Small Heath and don't ask me why, but his header at Anfield was bloody good too. Good thread amongst the doom and gloom.

Hughton is not a bad shout to be honest and I'd be happy with him mate. Knows the division etc. Knockaert with someone like Joey Barton in the middle would be a big improvement on our current midfield. Seen Dunk a few times now and he is good enough for the Premiership, so someone higher than us may take him this summer.

Would happily take Knockaert and Dunk out of that Brighton side, but doubt they would come cheap.

Agree with this completely KHV. I know Roy wouldn't want to upset the squad, but would Terry have come back if asked?

Strange to say this based on England history but we really are weak now in the centre half position. This will be our downfall in the tournament, not what midfielders, forwards we pick. We will hurt teams going forward by will inevitably concede, just as we did to an unfit Suarez at the last World Cup.

The one thing we can all agree on is that we need any takeover to happen speedily now. New manager/coaching staff to quickly follow. I personally would like at least these two parts done before the Euro's start as a minimum. So much to be done on the playing side and no doubt behind the scenes. Could this be the most critical summer in our history?

Agree completely Richard, but we could have been on the the front foot six weeks ago. Needs to get sorted within the next fortnight for sure. Euro's can be a distraction to managers and players alike and a lot needs to be done.

If he has a crazy contract then so be it, but why then have him on the bench? Could have just had someone else from the U21 group. Just baffling.

Anyone that can kick a ball will do, as I'm sick of seeing our current first team just chasing after it. For the whole season it's felt like I've been watch Rocky chasing that chicken.

I've now come to realise that this bloke is a complete charlatan and has no business being a professional footballer. Utter, utter useless. I don't even care if we are able to get a fee for him because just hearing that he's gone will make my summer all the happier.
