  1. I think Deano definitely likes English speaking players as the core of his squad. I suppose it’s easier to settle them and communicate quickly in situations (training or matches).
  2. Can only realistically be Mings or Martinez. Personally, I’d go Mings. He has the respect of the players. Never stops talking on and off the pitch and is very articulate when speaking with the media.
  3. Thank you. The amount of stick I got for suggesting we sign JWP earlier this summer was ridiculous. He’s not just a dead ball specialist but someone that can keep possession well and control a midfield. Something we lack in abundance.
  4. Been twice. Once in the early days and the second time early last year, so have seen it really develop into something quite special. Not the cheapest place but if someone likes the movies, it’s a truly magical place.
  5. He’ll have a great time! I was very surprised how good it really is. No spoilers but a very good bit once at Gringotts Bank.
  6. Not sure if you’ve been previously but it’s a fantastic place. My two kids absolutely loved it.
  7. Perhaps time for Delaney and/or Jedinak to step up?
  8. As a club we surely have far bigger priorities right now. The cost of rebranding everything would be immense and don’t see us considering it anytime soon. The current badge is not that bad. It’s clean, unfussy and simple to create. Also didn’t the club say during the Lerner years that our round badge was poor on digital platforms? Seem to remember something said about it at the time.
  9. To be discussed live on YouTube tonight I believe.
  10. Who the bloody hell was “Timehop” ? Are we sure this was a real team line-up??
  11. Buendia will hopefully be this guy? Perhaps it’s why we’re also linked with Ward-Prowse?
  12. Our owners are clearly very astute and savvy in business, so I wouldn’t worry. Having better players, better league position gives us greater exposure and with that greater commercial opportunities. We need some success first and I this could be winning a cup this season perhaps?
  13. Interesting that Dean says we were probably 18 months behind where we needed to be in order to keep Jack. If we’re only 18 months behind Champions League level, I’m happy to wait. Sounds like we definitely have the hunger and fight to reach the very top.
  14. If we can sign a central combative midfielder and then either one of Cantwell or Danjuma, it will have been a great window. Oh and perhaps this Small kid for the U23s.
  15. Would we be happy with Danjuma coming in as our left sided attacker? Couple of press stories linking us but nothing concrete.
  16. Without any doubt agents and players get in the ear of other players. Barkley said that Grealish had been talking to him regularly about us before he joined last summer. Grealish in the England camp would have had Stones, Foden and Walker in his ear. Probably Chilwell (his mate) telling him to move to a Champions League club. It happens sadly. To be fair, we as a club and players no doubt do it but on a lesser scale.
  17. Surely Agent Young can tap up a couple of Inter players? Barella??
  18. I’ve changed my mind from the team I suggested on page 3. Injuries are clearly a concern now, so I’d consider a back 5 for this game with Cash and Targett or Young pushing on when in possession Martinez --------Konsa---------Mings---------Hause———- Cash Targett ----------------McGinn------Nakamba----------------- ------------Buendia or Carney ---------------- Watkins / Ings Hause would also be great against Deeney.
  19. I would honestly like to see him starting the season as our wide left forward for a few games until everyone is fit or bought in. I know he’s probably been signed to cover Targett and Cash but he appears fit enough to give us 60/70 minutes further forward. His experience on the pitch will be helpful to the other lads as well.
  20. That’s disappointing to hear and something I wasn’t aware of. Perhaps a way forward is to capture the younger Asian community at schools etc? I know we as a club go out and do coaching and offer tickets to games.
  21. Not sure that is strictly true as we already have “Punjabi Villans” locally.
  22. Would have been a great day on the beach though seeing Larry the owner and Keith having a tug of war!
  23. Don’t think there is. United website states that he’s signed a new contract before joining us, which ties him to them until June 2023, with the option of a further year. EXTERNAL WEBSITE Axel Tuanzebe will spend the 2021/22 campaign on loan at Aston Villa after agreeing a season-long move to the Premier League club. The 23-year-old has also signed a new contract at Manchester United, lasting until June 2023 with the option of an additional year's extension.
