  1. Couldn't agree more. You just can't come out with this sort of shlt and expect to carry on. He has pretty much handed in his notice. Can you imagine going into your own place of work and e-mailing all the customers telling them the place was poisonous and you should never have started there and then copying your management and colleagues into said mail? It actually beggars belief. There is no way he can stay a stay and by the way Eric flu(k you for bringing yet more humiliation on the club who are paying you to manage it
  2. Doom bar. It really shouldn't plss me off because I do really like it but since it has been bought by a Molson coors it is EVERYWHERE probably at the expense of a beer which might be nicer or might be worse but would certainly be more interesting. Why can't the global brewers keep to their mass market shlt and stop muscling in on the real ale market. Tuckwits
  3. I am not paid to throw up either but after 15 pints I am at it with gusto also!
  4. I don't know why I know this but when I ask other people they don't seem to know it but the name of the dog sitting in front of the gramophone on the HMV logo is called Nipper
  5. Caught repeat of room 101 last night where Dame Kelly Holmes was a guest. She said something which struck a chord with me. When asked about if she liked cocktails (the subject being voted in which gets my vote after waiting 20 minutes at the bar for some bottle juggling idiot to make 2 drinks for a couple of ladies who I am sure are totally lovely despite appearance attitude and noise) she responds "Well of course when I was competing I didn't drink at all" Now I expect Dame Kelly has done allright out of her incredible achievements but I bet it's still a fraction of what an average "professional" footballer owns. And in the early years she probably didn't even know if she would be good enough to make it. I wouldn't be surprised if this is pretty much the norm in athletics. They would all be highly driven utterly dedicated motivated people who would know that drinking would affect their performance and avoid it even when not really earning anything. Before anyone throws in the drugs hand I am sure it is as prevelant and probably more so in football but for some reason the clubs and authorities don't seem so keen on rigid testing

    Peaky Blinders

At the end of the day it's just damn good drama with a bit of hairy violence thrown in for good measure the likes of which we seem to have lost the knack of making these days. "Talent" shows are easier and cheaper to make
  7. I have to go to Northampton tomorrow
  8. If I am totally honest I really didn't see what a lot of the others did. I will not lose sleep if he leaves but we do need to recoup as much if not earn more than we spent and reuse it all on new players. He is a modern footballer and won't see that he owes us anything. He will also think he is too good for that championship I do think it's a shame as he certainly should be good enough for the championship but like I said I personally wasn't blown away by him so if he doesn't want to be here.... farewell
  9. What do you call a tramp without legs? A low down bum
  10. My freaking bedside radio is always 10 minutes slow and it's one of those radio controlled ones that I bought deliberately to ensure I never had to manually change it. I mean the technology to beam the exactly correct atomically controlled time around the country is a modern miracle 100 years on from when we had different time zones in each city but the twunks can't make the clock work. And someone please explain me this. The digital clock in my car always loses 7 minutes within a few weeks of being set. How can digital run slow??? . So I think I will be clever and set it 7 minutes fast so it becomes correct when it loses its 7 minutes. But no, the b@stard thing knows my cunning plan and loses 14 minutes. So now I never ever change it so it's also a calender indicating if it is summer or winter depending on if the time is 7 minutes out or 67 minutes out
  11. This reminds me of something that really plsses me off. People on your quiz team who immediately leap in in a very knowing authoritative way with an answer like they are 100% confident they know the answer. The rest of the team rest easy thinking thank God someone knew that tricky conundrum, then it turns out they had no actual idea and we're just guessing. Bl00dy chancers. If you are not sure just say so. Twunks
  12. I am a brummie and I have heard lots of people call it vaccing but I don't think it's an exclusive brummie thing. ME "I'm going to give the stairs a quick vac" MRS "Put the kettle on will you I am dying for a cup of tea" ME "Give us a minute will you I am still vaccing the stairs" I have to admit the above scenario is extremely unlikely to happen as I am a lazy sod around the house. The Mrs would not be asking me to put the kettle on because she would still be on the floor from shock of me volunteering to vac the stairs.
  13. Our pub quiz setter is a villa fan, I usually get the reverse but am embarrassed when the team looks at me and I dont know some great Villa fact. My advice is go to a different quiz. Shouldn't line the pockets of a nose even if you have to travel 50 miles to the next pub. . Not telling you where I do mine though as if you won yours you are probably a good team so stay away!
  14. Can I make it absolutely clear that I do like Chinese people!
  15. WHY..... CAN'T..... HE..... JUST..... SHUT..... THE..... F@CK..... UP????????
  16. I have wondered this myself. I am not particularly talented at anything but what have I not done which I could be the best in the world at. Conversely there must be loads of world champions who would have got nowhere near the top if the 10 people who are better than them had ever tried it
  17. I often wonder why you can buy some stuff, particularly following the advent of the manufacturing might of China at absolutely ridiculously cheap prices, often prices where there is simply no need for it to be that cheap. But then there is other stuff where you can see absolutely no need for it to be so expensive. Why can't they chuck those things out of China at 1/4 the price. Prime example I want a new cushion for a garden bench. You go into any Diy store or garden Centre and you won't get a piece of thin foam wrapped in cotton for less than £25. However in homebase I saw a whole new garden bench WITH cushion for £40. So basically they can't make a bl00dy cushion for less than£25 which I refuse to pay but they can build a whole bench for £15 It's madness. Can't someone in China make me a cushion for £5 instead of a power drill for a tenner?
  18. He has a wife, you know. You know what she's called? She's called... 'Incontinentia'. 'Incontinentia Buttocks'.
  19. I was wondering about this. Absolutely no way will this deal be worth what he was spouting about. If he really wanted to do us a huge favor he should have kept as much an eye on how much we got if relegated as if we stayed up. Relegation was very much on the cards when they announced it.
  20. You mean apart from the aqueduct and sanitation?
  21. Ironic as it is the owner of The Evening Mail so SHOULD have a better ear on the ground than the other nationals or would if the Evening Mail had any proper hournalists
  22. I dearly love a pasty, a 'ot leaky one; With mayt, turmit and taty, h'onyon and parsley in 'un The crus' be made weth suet, shaped like 'alf a moon; Crinkly h'edges, freshly baked 'e es alway gone too soon!
  23. Sources claim that Spoony said I HOPE ALL THOSE RESPONSIBLE SIT ON WOBBLY TABLES WITH ONE LEG SHORTER THAN THE OTHERS FOR THE REST OF THEIR LIVES
  24. If the takeover happens and we are given money or Randy makes good on his promise to do whatever he can to take us back to the PL (which I doubt) then we need to pillage all the best players we can from the teams that just missed on promotion and see what we can loan from the likes of Chelsea and Arsenal We have some of our own loaners like Gardner coming back who will be adequate to replace the probably departing Frenchman or Gill
  25. Well we should be fine then, we have a load of those already!
