  1. Commentator just said ayew is playing like a man who knows he's being watched. If that's the way it's going to go down we need to be looking to make a profit on him. He's proved he can be a good PL player so no gamble and the PL will be awash with dirty dirty cash next year
  2. It has to be said Watford look absolutely pants
  3. Yes next year because it's the championship he will suddenly start scooting them low into the corner instead of blaring them over the bar because he's back at his level!
  4. Commentator pointed out (correctly) that no one in the wall jumped. They just stood rooted to the floor. Typical of our players half hearted can't be @rsed. It's the bare minimum to try and do what you can to block the ball. Pussycats
  5. It's matter of time till we score. Watford must buckle under the pressure
  6. Commentator just said the villa players look scared to play no one willing to take more than 2 touches and they need to be braver. What a brilliant shot by Watford against the crossbar
  7. 3 black mercs in Aston? That'll be the burger boys preparing for a drive by
  8. This is where Lerner has brought us. Finally facing our Waterloo
  9. Oops just seen he has missed most of the season injured with cruciate knee ligaments so not just being ignored
  10. Danny ings anyone? Completely forgotten he existed until the story broke about his transfer cost to plop. Certainly has scoring pedigree at championship level and having hardly featured this year you would think he would be looking for a move
  11. I am convinced the reason why B&K resigned is because they wanted to proceed with their plans which undoubtedly would include the quick appointment of a new manager as contingency plans in case any takeover was delayed or fell through. They would understand the danger of being were we currently are with no changes or manager 2 months from now with a takeover vanishing over the horse. Randy Dandy has told them no go nothing to happen because of the takeover. So if had better bl00dy well happen and quick because I suspect the whole place is in suspended animation completely reliant on the deal happening

    Watches

I dare knock them. Yes I do. Got no time for slim watch HATERZ
  13. The only gig I have been to in 10 years is to see my younger brother who is the drummer in punk band Rotunda. Prior to that after a long and distinguished gig / concert attending career it was The Wonder Stuff in Wolverhampton just before the kids came along Desperately want to take my 13 year old lad and 11 year old daughter to a gig. I actually planned what music I was going to play in the car when. I brought them home from hospital after being born. My son was Stanley road by Weller. It and subsequent hard work has all fallen on deaf ears with awful shlt being belted out from various websites (of course they won't pay for any music) other than the lad does like a bit of Green Day. I am desperate to take them to a gig. Missed Stereophonics at the NEC in December. Might try and get Ocean Colour Scene at Moseley Park in the summer because no way am I doing Shawn Mendes!

    Watches

That is the very watch I am wearing right now! I love it to bits. Had it for about 3 years now, must get another before they stop making it. OK watches: 1) I utterly HATE big chunky men's watches. They look ugly, crass and utterly classless like planting a couple of lions on your driveway or wearing a chavvy goldie looking chain. Yet big and chunky seems to be pretty much the only option for men 2) I think paying more than £150 or so for something to tell you the time is as obscene as a football player earning £20k + per week. I can't understand why unless you really are a multi millionaire why you would want to spend more on a bl00dy watch. Get you priorities Straight! . If I was a billionaire I would still buy a Skagen. 3) Skagen watches are not terribly expensive but are a thing of absolute beauty. Bearing in mind my watch is not OTT expensive and is a long way away from the standard convention that men's watches should be big and chunky I am always surprised by the number of people who comment on it in a complimentary way I know some people who had never seen one before who have bought one after seeing mine. 4) I realise people will disagree with all the above but I really don't care these are my feelings. I am me. 5) Glad I spotted this thread so I didn't have to post about chunky / expensive men's watches in the things that plss you off but shouldn't or Skagen watches in the things that make you happy threads Happy Thursday folks
  15. I remember very vividly hearing Faulkner on a radio interview talking about why he appointment McLeish and it became apparent that he was utterly convinced he was a brilliant manager because he won the Aston Villa Cup with the scum. At that point it dawned on me that he really was a clueless fckuwit. You kind of have (had) faith that the people running a professional football club at the highest level in the worlds top professional league know what they are doing but he was just a chancer who had less idea than you or I. And our beloved leader seems to have made this mistake over and over again until he got it right then made them resign because of some other level of fckuwittery
  16. Lerner if he ran us properly could have spent no more than £50m or so and be running us at a profit. It's his catastrophically bad business decisions again and again and again and again and again which has led us to relegation as one of the worst ever premier league teams and him losing £300m. A proper businessmen making proper hands on decisions could have made us self sufficient by now like 90% of other premier league teams and who next year with the huge increases on revenue should mostly show decent profits
  17. That is absolute cr@p. No way would he fit under a slide
  18. Call me mad but I still think we can get out of this Keep the faith!
