    17p kwh, that's bloody cheap!
  2. Didn't he make some weird comments about having sex with your pet a few years back? Anyone bumming their dog should be castrated, not sure its a fit punishment for a knife welding coward.

    Energy Bills

Octopus have offered various peak/off peak and even change by the hour tariffs for several years, IF you have a smart meter that can report back every 30 mins, its nothing new or groundbreaking (I used to be on a tariff that went into the minus when there was excess energy on the grid, excessive winds/storms usually the cause). The big 5/6 energy companies haven't really led the way on "smart" tariffs, instead happy to continue ripping off Joe Public for years. Problem now is that there really isn't a off-peak period, its peak 24/7 due to the rates hitting the cap. Greg Jackson the CEO of Octopus keeps saying the wholesale energy market needs rebuilding from the ground up as its not fit for purpose. THAT does need a functioning government to sort. I don't see this current bunch of Donkeys doing anything about it.
  4. Funnily enough I actually did get divorced for the exact reasons you mentioned.
  5. I've just finished Bosch Legacy & Lincoln Lawyer, I thought Bosch was better. Lincoln Lawyer just ran out of steam for me, felt a bit powder puff IMO. Could of been 2 episodes less, and I'm not convinced with the casting of Mickey Haller. 6/10
  6. That's something that SHOULD piss you off and has no place in this thread! VM keep cold calling me and try to flog me fibre broadband just because I once registered interest on their website 4 years ago. I keep saying no, but they keep on ringing. Vile company.

Shall I hold on to all those Pork Bellies I bought last week? I was looking to offload them sharpish and make a killing.
  8. I've been recommended this show by a friend (who has questionable TV tastes), so I've got it lined up. Would welcome a few opinions from the very cultured VT TV posters.
  9. I've been driving a BMW i3s EV for the last 2 years (through Arval). Happy to answer any question on ownership, pros/cons of that model. I have 1 year left and looking at Kona/Niro for my next model. Main reasons, extra range, 5 real doors and roof rails for putting bikes on.
  10. They seem to be an English version of your American trailer-trash redneck type of word removed. I'dd add to the mix the local yoof's with their man-bags on electric scooters wizzing around on the roads without a care in the world. Scum.
  11. Blasted through all 3 episodes of the Woodstock doc in 1 sitting. Really good documentary with some great footage. Don't think I've seen so many people bouncing all at once as I did during the Korn & Limp Bizkit sets. As said above the 2 organisers didn't give 2 shits about the safety and well being of the crowd.
  12. Fingers crossed on this one. I will say the Kenobi trailer looked good and look how that turned out
  13. Have to agree, Cafe Nero is my go-to coffee chain. Failing that the coffee Greggs serve up aint bad either. I won't touch Costa with a barge pole, rubbish.
  14. I have a Pioneer head unit in my car and it has Android Auto. I find that Pioneer's sat nav far better visually to use. Tried the Android Auto a couple of times and just couldn't get to grips with it.
  15. My experience is the opposite. Symptons gone but tests still popping positive!
  16. I thought this was a great show. Well worth finding on the high seas if Apple TV isn't on your shopping list.
  17. I must admit that's a very good version of the film.
  18. I didn't mind the first Dr Strange film, but thought the new one was complete guff. I don't think Marvel will ever reach the heights of Infinity War/Endgame. I hope I'm proved wrong.

I hope the technology improves and the boffins can find a workaround because I'd love to ditch gas.

    Energy Bills

I registered interest in a heat pump through my energy supplier (Octopus) and it turns out my house (early 90's) isn't suitable due to the radiators being on 10mm microbore pipes. They need to be using your regular 15mm pipework. The cost and destruction to the walls swap my system out for 15mm would be huge. I quickly withdrew any interest at that point.

    Running

Did a gentle 5km last night about 6.30pm. Might do the same this evening.
  22. The windows down with the air-con on is often done so the words removed can share their shit taste in music blasting out the speakers. It shouldn't piss me off, but it does. So perfect for this thread.
