Don't want to jinx it Alls I've been told is it's close/already has been done. Don't know who though, heard a few parties were interested. I don't think so really. One of the main strengths in our team is versatility, I think almost every player can play in more than one position. We do have a reasonably strong first 17 or so players: Howard, Hibbert, Jagielka, Yobo, Lescott, Baines, Neville, Arteta, Osman, Cahill, Fellaini, Pienaar, Rodwell, Gosling, Yakubu, Saha, Jo/Vaughan/Anichebe < Take your pick They are the main basis of the squad.After that you have the squad fillers, as I call them: Castillo, Van Der Meyde, Valente, Nash, Jacobsen. Then we have the youngsters: Baxter, Wallace, Kissock, Agard, Jutkiewicz, Irving. (Probably only the first 2 will make it with us, if they do) I think the balance is about right now, the main problem we have had is injuries. Moyes prefers the small squad as it is better for team spirit, but you can't account for the injuries we've had (length and the players who happened to). To make the step up we need to basically get rid of the squad fillers and relegate some of the main basis down into the squad filling role and replace them with a higher quality of player. I think the numbers are ok though. bit of ignorance here but arent some of your injuries down to the players you buy? Cahill and Saha i was always under the impression were fairly injury prone.

i want them all up derby days are great ad its 18 points free for us my point exactly and the 5-1 was one of the best games ive ever seen. we dont manage to generate the atmosphere we used but derby day is absolutely quality (when we win)

am i alone in wanting them promoted? theirs no better game than a local derby.

dont understand how you praise Knight, put down Cueller but give them the same score. Knight was one of our best performers again which is backed up by most weekend papers. Similarly i dont agree with the achiles heel thing, yesterday was probably our best performance since Arsenal and if we go out and play like that every week i certainly think we'd win a lot more games than we draw. Even Bruce was shocked and said he'd never been under so much pressure and managed to scrape something out of the game. Interestingly it was MON who said a while back that we werent the type of side that can win 5 consecutive games in a row.

I LOVE VALENTINES DAY. i understand all the arguments not to do it but the truth is i like presents, nice meals and sex. its a good excuse to stop all the things your doing and make your partner feel special. I also hate the thought of my fiance having nothing to tell her friends when discussing valentines day. its important to her and making her happy is important to me. like people have said, its doesnt have to be expensive and if your partners dont expect it, then it can be worth twice as much.

does this reflect people on salaries. i probably average 5 - 10 hours of unpaid work a week. I always have done, it makes my working day a bit easier and is has always been well thought of by people senior to myself. Do others do it or am i alone in this?

General Have the club considered a promotion to support designated drivers, i take it in turns to drive with 3 others (help the environment an all that) and today was charged £3 for a coke in the holte suite after paying £2 to be in there. Coca Cola are doing a promotion in selected bars at the moment where you buy 1 coke and get 2 free. Given that drink driving seems to increase during the xmas period and that the cost of a pint at villa is well above the national average would this be something the club would be prepared to get involved in. oh and a cracking win today

Hi General A slight moan im afraid. I've just phoned up for my West Brom tickets, after a bit of time on hold i got through and asked for two, one for myself and the other for the lad who sits next to me. I was then asked for both references, mine i had, his i didnt. I told her that our seats are linked and asked if she could look him up. She said this service was no longer available (i have been ordering tickets like this for years which meant i didnt need any of his details). She went on to tell me that lots of tickets were still available so i agreed to call my friend and get his reference. When i eventually got back through the tickets had sold out. I'm told we're 3 and 4 on the waiting list so quite hopeful of tickets still, but why are we no longer able to look up references and if we do have changes to systems like this is it not possible to let people know via the web-site or something. I will admit the a recorded message does tell me i need to know the client reference but thats been on there for years. Keep up the good work UTV

General, can i please echo the comments about the tannoy system in the upper holte, this was my first game after moving my seat from the lower holte and i could just about hear the tannoy. Are there plans to review this?

General I know you dont get involved with transfers but could you confirm if we are the club that have had a bid accepted for Friedel. Accepted bids are normally reported on the OS (as was the case with Sidwell and Guzan) but i havent seen anything as yet.
