  1. I used to collect but have sold off most of my collection now, i have the 1990 - 1992 home and away shirts, and an old liverpool three stripe candy shirt (a gift from someone who really didnt understand the rules of my collection). Will be selling them off shortly if anyone is interested PM me.
  2. our lad is now ten weeks old. we had a name selected for 6 months but changed our minds when he was born to something we'd never considered. Cant really explain but just seemed to suit him more.
  3. think it'll be doyle. itll cost a bit though, wolves paid about 6.5 and they would want to sell him. Think they'd expect 12 if they stay up as they have the money and hes said he doesnt want to leave. Keane would be similar IMO, Redknapp would not want to sell to us. Bent would cost us 20+ i think. Sunderland dont need the money and i would imagine hes earning good money. Personally i dont think hed work hard enough for us and not sure if i can see him in the same side as Gabby
  4. hate to say it but thought we missed Barry today, Barrys first move when winning the ball was to look for Young. He was in great form yesterday up against a forward playing at right back but we failed to get him enough of the ball.
  5. would finishing 4th this season really give us access to all these top players. We'd still need to qualify for the champions league (failed to qualify for europa this year), we still wouldnt be an established top 4 club (think next year will see a bigger push from city and liverpool) and we'd still have a manager that doesnt seem to like targetting these bigger players. Got no proof of this but the "hard working englishman" seems to be a mould that suits. Id like to see progressive improvement (already shown this year), no concerns over the financial stability of the club (i dont want to be the next portsmouth), investment in youth (lets bring some home grown players through) and to top it all off the FA cup please.
  6. Hi General, just to clarify the issue, the baby bunny suits are available but sizes only start from 0-3 months. Not sure if this is an american/english type thing but baby clothes in the uk start from new born size. Villa do not seem to have any baby clothes in this size.
  7. General, you may have missed this. I asked the same question quite a few pages back, General answered that he had previously bought bits for young babies. Definately no new born stuff through the club shop though but they do have some bits in 0-3 months.
  8. sorry to hijack the generals thread but just a quick suggestion reference season tickets. I have a barclaycard premiership credit card. This allows me to buy my season ticket at 0% interest for 12 months. Allows me to spread my payments over the year without incurring any charges.
  9. thats what upset me the most, it was just another trophy for their players and fans. We'd probably still be in the stadium celebrating now. Hopefully we dont have to wait 10 years for another visit.
  10. parking at hillingdon is cheep, not that many spaces though.
  11. tough times, my nan died last week, funeral Thursday. Never got to meet my son.
  12. I nearly spat my tea out... My good memories include things like when I got asked to be Godmother, when I recovered after an operation against odds, when I realised I was in love... Your definition of good memories, my first blowie?! Is this a man thing? this can't be that surprising.....they are guys after all. when i realised i was in love it was an amazing moment that nothing has yet to compare to. but for guys....things like blowies will always be at the top of the list good thing about memories, not really a limit on how many you can have. This one in question always makes me laugh, i nearly stopped said girl by questioning what she was doing as she kneeled down. Girl will always stay in my memories for being my first, around the back of Pershore Football Club in fact. Said girl played a bit part in my life over the next few years and helped to "christen" other great venues such as the phone box near bredon cricket club and the ladies toilets at Montells in Tewkesbury. 8)
  13. I don't live in B6 either, I live in Worcester, As in WUSTER, not WOR-CESTER, like most Yanks like to pronounce it. :winkold: Not http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0_S43tPbouo*... Second-best comedian from wormtown (though the best who didn't rip off Bill Hicks)... though there's not really a Worcester accent there... the best way to describe a true Worcester accent is imagine a combination between Long Island and accents**: *: though I'm not sure whether anybody in that video has apple pie for breakfast **: for ClaretMahoney, go west from the most populous Worcester and next thing you know you're in (not the most populous) Leicester. Though I must admit that not every town in Worcester County is pronounced properly, though. My nephew was in the same class as the girl who died. My sister knows the mum from the playground and says the bloke had threatened this a few times before. Had an alcohol problem apparently but she doesnt think he was on heroin. I also used to work on the hampton ferry where the car went into the river, such a tragedy but sort of cool to see my former workplace all over the news. good memories (first blowie)
  14. agree with those saying avoid buying french, id look for a Japanese car, isnt the volkswagon thing a bit of myth created by volkswagon. Hold their value well but thought they were generally low down in the reliability tests. Also expensive to fix.
  15. Of all the stupid ideas that religion is responsible for, praying is surely the msot stupid of all. Do you seriously believe that an omnipotent being decides on a seemingly random basis whether to intervene in the trivialities of human existence? So if he answers your prayer for a new job or to get well, why would he ignore those of people dying in Haiti or wherever? Seriously, think about it for a while. Not claiming it as evidence, just offering my viewpoint. I dont sit every night and pray for a lottery win. When my son was born however, and he had breathing difficulties i found myself praying that he would get better. On that occassion, like many others it worked out well for me. Not saying it was a result of divine intervention but it was the only thing i could do and from that i took some small comfort. It was an instinctive thing and i believe it is something that millions of people around the world do. Was just trying to give an insight into what it is like to be a believer.
  16. ill chuck my two pence in. I believe in god, dont go to church, not particularly interested in religion or debating it but i know that in times of trouble/distress that ive resorted to asking god for help. Just something i do, maybe its a comfort thing, i dont know. One thing i would say is that ive had a pretty decent life and all the things ive prayed about have worked out ok for me....make of that what you will. On this basis i dont believe that any new evidence either way would change my beliefs.
  17. depends if we had Kalinic from the first leg where he missed a few sitters or Kalinic from the second leg where he scored. Theirs a reason he plays for Blackburn
  18. Hi Gen Thanks for the response. They do obviously sell baby clothes just nothing in a new born size. Think they start from 0-3 month. For most new born babies this is a month if not longer until they will fit into these clothes.
  19. some Claret and Blue specs in this thread, while Milner is good, Gerard is world class and often compared with the top midfielders in the world.
  20. General, what a night, bouncing off the walls today, imagine if we actual win the competition. Got a non cup related query though. Having become a proud father for the first time 2 weeks ago i hit the club shop at the weekend to buy just about everything i could. Was pretty disappointed to see no new born sized baby clothes. I now have to wait a month or two before i can dress my son in his Acorns emblazoned baby grow. The other problem ive got is the first villa game he's watched on the tv we've won 6-4 and were going to Wembley. How do i explain to him that this doesnt happen every week. Up the villa, from two very happy Villa Fans.
  21. and by your sister, you secretly mean on your own.
