  1. Logging in isn't my complaint, it's pointless steps after that point
  2. This is my new imaginary Black Metal Band Name
  3. I just found mine with the same method, no exactly logical at times. Nothing actually tells you to select travel, its just the only thing you can do on that page. Given that you cannot even save your login details fro the app on your phone and it logs you out in about a minute of no use, putting all those steps in the way, some of which are completely unnecessary is just highly irritating. Select Continue - > QR Code would have been perfectly secure
  4. Worst smell I've ever encountered in a toilet. McCanns Bar, 117 James St, Dublin. The closest pub to the Guinness Brewery. (It was opposite the NRC Taxi office that I was working in when we met up for a pint) It is also one of the best pints of Guinness I've ever had (including in the Brewery itself)
  5. I'd strongly dispute that bit. The Nazis were steeped in mysticism and mythology. I don't know what I'd describe them as but atheist really ain't a word I'd use not was Adolph an atheist as has been claimed for decades. Hitler and the Nazis have been used as an example of “look bad atheists” since the war ended usually by people with an interest in religion. They were much closer to religious than not.
  6. That really isn't it. I've just spent half an hour reading up on it. The IHRA saying it should not be hyphenated because there's no such body of people as the Semites so you can't be anti them, there are lots of scholars who agree with this as do many campaigners, however, there are also many Jewish media outlets (inc The Times of Israel) and campaigners who use the hyphenated form or do so when he publication they are writing for's Style Guide says they should. I believe it's mainly to counter arguments mainly in the Arab World saying that antisemitism isn't just about bigotry towards Jews but against all the people using a Semitic language (inc the Tigreans) but the term was apparently coined in Germany moons ago and has always specifically been about hatred towards Jews. I've not read one suggestion that the hyphen has been weapon used by far right groups or anything like that and the hyphen only appears in the English language. It seems to be a particularly technical argument that the average person of Jewish heritage really doesn't care either way about.
  7. You keep digging yourself into a bigger and bigger hole
  8. Yep, I've seen tweets complaining about it happening to them, more than once in the last few weeks
  9. Thats been happening for a couple of weeks I believe
  10. Thats because they are. There are atheists that describe themselves as Jewish if that helps you understand this
  11. It's like you've totally ignored everything that has gone on in the last few years in the debate about AS in the Labour Party and just dismissed it as being a total manipulation and there was nothing to see and you've been right all along
  12. You really can't help yourself can you
  13. That isn't what you typed in the intial post though. Like I said, if you'd replaced Jewish with Israel, I'd have agreed with you
  14. Not really when its addressed to someone whose politics clearly lie in that direction
  15. Its not an if. They are two different entities. One is a political construct, the other is a religion. No matter how intrinsically you think they are linked, they are separate concepts and should be treated as such As many of your far left comrades will tell you, there are Jewish people opposed to the state of Israel, there are also Jewish People in Israel who oppose what the Israeli government is and has historically done to the Palestinian people. When you conflate the religion with the state you are including all those members of the religion who actually agree with you. That is why what you said is AS
  16. The FA Cup final was yesterday, surely the season is over
  17. FTFY But more seriously I always had Bright Eyes pegged as Alt-folk but its also hardly in my taste sphere either, so I'm not the best to comment
  18. Thats precisely it, you can't conflate those two for exactly the same reason This is exactly why so many people on the left of British politics are AS They just don't get what AS actually is What you've done it is specifically stated in the globally accepted definition You have to swap one word for another, if you'd put Israel there would be nothing wrong with what you'd said, I'd have agreed with it
  19. Well actually it is, conflating judaism with the state of Israel is antisemitic. Notice how you've phrased it as a religion vs a country. That is antisemitic, it is even specifically mentioned in the IHRA definition of Antisemitism. UK Gov I'm absolutely sure you haven't done it intentionally but what you've said, is antisemitic
