  1. I was talking about the guy who put the ball into the net who ran in unopposed from our left hand side. Taylor was about 3 yards behind him and didnt seem to be pushing to get back and make a tackle.
  2. Taylor may not be the only one who made a mistake but the guy who put the ball into the net ran in from our left side unopposed with taylor jogging about 3 yards behind him. For me, he should have been busting a gut to get back and make a challenge and didnt.
  3. I felt he lost his man for their goal today. That aside, he was very good. I do think we could and should bring in better though, promotion or not.
  4. "The pears i picked up in Aldi yesterday were so much better than the fish i got in M&S 3 years ago"
  5. In a worse team and in a higher league...
  6. Personally didn't think he was great in the previous game either. Gave away possession a number of times, and his individual errors led to most of the oppositions chances. Still want him to make the move permanent though as he has been good since he arrived despite the recent lapses.
  7. Pretty sure it was Taylor who lost his man for their goal, so i wouldn't say he didn't put a foot wrong. But much improved for sure.
  8. Anyone know why sarkic and not kalinic was on the bench last game?
  9. Ok, some examples of poor moments: Own goal against Reading Error leading to first goal against derby dec 2017 Backpasses in games with Hull, Derby and Sheff W in 17/18 resulting in scoring chances Missed tackles leading to chances against west brom feb 2019 I'm sure i could find more if i re watched some games
  10. I have to think there was a good reason why Kalinic wasnt even on the bench last game! That said, if he is fit, i would play him. Steers had 1 save to make and fluffed his lines. People mention he comes for crosses, problem is he claims less than half of them.
  11. He was 'ok' under SB but always had a major **** up in him. Some suicidal backpasses stand out in my mind. I'd say he is now playing 'good', but as others have mentioned, i think this is a result of the settled defence. He has less to do and more confidence in those behind him. I do agree though that he looks much fitter!
  12. If promoted he would be a squad player for me. I am not convinced he is currently good enough for PL regularly. But he is still young and has potential. I would sign him regardless if the fee is 3 to 4 mill. But in the PL we need a better winger.
  13. Same could be said of a certain andy cole, but i'd have still loved to have had him at villa
  14. Little bird tells me we have an option to buy on mings and a fee has been agreed. Down to the player now - so we shall see.
  15. A 40-50 game season of senior football could be the making of him. I dont think he will get that here even if grealish leaves. Id get him a contract for 2 more years with a 1 year extention, first out on loan 2nd playing here. If he shows he can at that stage, get him a better deal, if not, cut him loose.
  16. Where to start here... Though Harry Kanes loan spells appear on paper as unsuccessful, if you watch footage his interplay, holdup play and movement were excellent. You could see he was a hood player despite a lack of goals. Vardy has been relatively successful at every club he has played for and been rewarded by moving up a level each time. Drogba physically matured very late, and ultimately his physique is what made him so potent. You could see Drogba had the potential to improve but needed to bulk up to make use of it - i dont believe this is true in RHMs case. So, i still dont see your point. All the players you mentioned showed they could perform with some aspect of their play. I dont see anything in RHM that makes me think is is capable of more than we have already seen, and i in fact feel he has regressed over the last 2 years.
  17. OHare shows why i think RHM wont make it. OHare clearly head and shoulders above at that level and turning heads. RHM, not so much...
  18. Tearing a league up as you put it has nothing to do with it. He has not only looked ordinary, but looked truely terrible in a number of appearances. A couple of years ago, he had the amazing turn of pace and great first touch, and whilst he isn't slow, he doesn't leave defenders for dust as he could before his long injury, and his first touch has been dire. He has looked out of his depth for the most part and uninspiring to say the least. Scoff all you want, but RHM isn't going to make it at PL or even CH level. Yes, he's 20, still young, but he isn't as good now as he was when he was 18.
  19. DS said JG is the long term future of the club when asked about making him captain
  20. Not sure what people have seen in him that makes them think he will succeed. He has struggled massively in league 2 and is injured AGAIN. I will be astonished if he ever plays regularly above league 1. I just don't see anything special about him.
  21. There are a couple of publications out there already shared by other users that show we are FFP compliant, so i beg to differ.
  22. Is he in great form? I can't say i can think of a single save he has made that any of the other keepers we have wouldnt have made. I'd agree that he has benefitted from a general uplift in team performance as opposed to anything he himself has brought to the team. Saying that, i'd have been happy him being our number 1 this season as i think hes a decent keeper. Kalinic is better though.
  23. Just done a prediction on thefishy and we scrape 6th on goal difference over boro, losing 1, drawing 1 and winning 6 Its still going to be tough
