  1. With the two injuries, it is unlikely he will ever be that player again. However, with Abraham, El Ghazi, Bolasi, Grealish and Adomah, we should be creating shit loads of chances for him rather than asking him to create them himself. I feel he could beutilised so much more effectively (butyou could say that about most in our squad right now).
  2. I still think Ranieri could be persuaded to come here. Still feels he has something to prove, and if he can do it with leicester...
  3. We played well for about 10 second half minutes. Thats not enough to win a game. Jedinak made at least 4 major errors that on another day could have cost us. He is an accident waiting to happen. Its niceto see thor get a game, personally i think he is underrated. But with half the starting 11 not in their natural position no sides going to see a lot of positives.
  4. Do you think that maybe Hrealishsform is suffering from being played in a different podition and with a different set of players every game? He was wide right yesterday, wide left the game before and has played cm and cam this season too. If you move players around constantly, they are going to lose focis and perform poorly. Not to mention, that 9f the 4 positions he has played in, the only one he is effective in is cam. Bruce is shoehorning grealish into a side at any expense, and ultimately its hurting both the individual and the team dynamic.
  5. I have seen this mentioned a lot, so thoughti would weigh in. FFP is calculated on a rolling 3 year basis. Our losses over the last 3 years are approx: 2017/18 20m 2016/17 25m 2015/6 85m Based on our improved losses in the last 2 seasons, 2018/19 is expected to be lessthan a 20m loss. That means for FFP next season we will be 65m better off! I do not think FFP will bemuch of an issue next season as a result.
  6. I get what you are saying based on how he has been since he joined villa, but none of thst was the case at forest. He picled upplenty of goals and assists and tackled very well for them. To me that suggests SB doesnt know how to utilise and motivate him, which, as a famed man manager, is his job.
  7. Great to see him sign such a long contract. Really hope no message from SB means a new manager is on the way as i dont thinkwe will ever see the best of Jack with SB in charge.
  8. I have no idea how SB is still in a job. Either the owners have no balls, or FFP is a bigger issue than we know. One thing for me is clear, we will be closer to relegation than promotion at the end of the season if we continue as we are. That will cost us more than FFP ever could imo
  9. Same old shit. Sb is taking us backwards this season. Time to move on
  10. With Bruce in charge, i'll be surprised if we manage 3 points from our next 3 games.
  11. TBH i could not care less about our win rate. If i wanyed to support a team that won all the time i would never have chosen villa. All i want is to be entertained - if that means winning, great, of it doesnt, i will still have had a good time. If we stay in this league, but are playing positive, entertaining, football, that will be enough for me. It will never happen under Brice as he couldnt coach someone to cross a road never mind play football.
  12. You dontneed to like it oragree with it, but please respect the fact that i want to do something to encourage positive change at OUR club. For me, it is blatantly clear we are going nowhere under the 'guidance' of SB, and the sooner the new owners grow a pair and pull the trigger, the better. I hope a message from the fans encourages them to make the correct decision.
  13. I dont think the fans turning against bruce will do anywhere near as much damage as bruce himself has already done.
  14. Hi All, I have wanted SB out of the club for over a year now. I think the time has come for the fans to show the owners how much we despair about his continuance as manager. I propose that all those who feel SB should not remain in charge, gather at the north stand/Villa shop car park on match day, rather than occupying your seats, to sing out and shout our displeasure about his tenure, in an attempt to force change. I cannot see the club progressing or challenging this season under his tutalage, and in fact i see us in a relegation fight if we continue as we are. Unite, and join me on Saturday 22nd September ahead of, and during, the Sheff Weds match, to show those in charge that we have had enough of SBs ongoing failure and ineptitude, and demand change. UTV
  15. Name 1 team in the division which jasnt brought in 4 or 5 players. This settling in thing is pure bs. Ive focised on the above, bit 90% of what he said was bs, and had the journos any balls they could easily have countered. Pathetic on both sides. Could i attend a press conference, under the guise of doing an article for VT? I wouldnt let him away with anything!
  16. If Jedi is good enough to play cb, then i best put my boots on, cos ive got a chance!
  17. Terry, ive worked in many large organisations, including football clubs, where there has been a cjange of ownership, and to a one, on no occassion have the senior members of the organisation been removed without getting the opportunity to 'prove their eorth'. That you find it more likely they just couldnt find someone better or couldnt bring in the one they wanted its highly unlikely, and very rare. Hell i worked for a multinational insurance company that went into administration andwas bought out. Not a single member of the board or msnahement team other than the ceo were removed within the first year whilst the new owners took stock. Businessmen, as Swaworis and Edens are, would be far more likely to go down this type of route.
  18. Bruce was done as a manager over a year ago, and only individual performances have hidden this. He has left the squad in sich disarray that i fear we will have conceded more by xmas than we did all last season. The man is washed up and the new ownets have revealed how truly amayeurish they were to keep him. If they dont have the balls to sack him this week, they deserve all the misery keeping this has been will bring them!
