How much hame time has he had in the 6 months prior to those 8 appearances? Not much i'd wager. Strikers, all players really, need a run of hames to get match fit. There are few strikers in the world than can not play for months at a time, and instantly start banging them in. Hogan will never be that good, but played regularly, he will score goals. I can't recall him playing more than a few concurrent games since his arrival - often due to injury. I think judging him on his time here is harsh. He's not great, he might not even be good, but at this level, given games, he is capable.

What you're suggesting is entirely different to what happened. At no point, from any angle, were el ghazis arms raised to even remotely close to bamfords face. Even from the replay behind the goal and the very far panned out angle, it is plainly clear his arms were not raised. Hard to hit someone in the face when your arm is level with their ribcage.

According to whoscored.com he has the best average rating in the country. Missed those games through injury as we played so poorly might have saved his stats

Chuffed to bits with 10 in a row and very proud of all the lads involved! However, our wastefulness is a real concern, and i hope it does not come down to missed chances for the playoff final...

Itd be disappointing if his season is over, but i would be comfotable enough in the knowledge that davis can come in and do a decent job and others can pick up goals. Not too worried

Read the regs handbook again, and be very precise when looking at the language. It effectively says its only a free kick for handball if there is intent in the referees opinion, so by default, if he gives a free for handball, he's also saying he believes there was intent and therefore has to book the player. Just to be clear, i'm not saying i agree with the rules, but in this incident, the rules were correctly applied.

Funny, i thought you were talking about whether Mings should have been booked... He lashed out after not getting a free kick he, and I, felt he deserved - definite yellow. The ball does strike his arm, and were the same happen in their box, i would expect a penalty. Unfortunately, the rules state that a handball is a yellow card - so both fair yellows and fully justified and in accordance with the rules. Take off the claret specs, and objectively, its 2 yellows. Can't appeal, as you can only appeal straight reds. I have no complaints with those 2 decision - plenty of others - but not those 2.
