  1. Im not an Oneil fan, but if he was so shit for us, why the 102 page obsession? Its weired lol
  2. I imagine he does himself. However, when he approaced his boss on signing the two experienced payers that would of made a difference, he was stonewalled. Thing is hindsight says he was right. So how much are the paracute payments and TV revenue worth? Way to go Randy you useless lying prick
  3. All this is great stuff for us. Di Canio's appointment just seals it for me. Bye bye Sunderland
  4. Funny how our two major weakneses are in Central Defence and Midfield, and are the same two positions that Lambert wanted to strengthen with experience during January, but was not backed on that request. If he had been allowed to do that, together with the improvement in performances, would we of been ok now? If we are relegated, then only two people can be blamed, namely Randolph and his ball licking gimp.
  5. Best performance and result? Liverpool 5-1 at haf time. Could of been more aswell. Bayern away.........we were lucky though
  6. I think the standard has been pretty awful for decades. OK, weve had bad luck on a couple of occasions, but if we really were that good, why would we need that luck? Weve been over rated since 1970, the last time we did have a decent team!
  7. Remember, these are just figures being plucked from thin air and then banded about as fact, when they are not. Money is not even the issue here, survival is, so we are all starting to get our knickers in a twist over nothing. If Mcliesh was still in charge, i know Wiemann would now be back in Austria due to getting very little opportunies. He is a very level headed guy, and all this is about his career. He loves it here, he does not want to leave, but he has to look long term, and to do that, our future needs fixing before sitting down and looking at it. TBH, even if we do go down, if he sees that we have a stategy in place to come straight back up, then he may still stay. End of the season chaps, and then the ball is firmly in Faulkners court. MM without going back through posts, do you personally know AW or is this your opinion? I rate AW highly and would love to see him commit to a long term contract so I'm hoping that you have the "indide word" Its mostly my opinion, though if you look back, i did post something that i was told just before all these rumours started. Basicly, it was that he would be off if we go down, and that the club had been told that. I did have a few when i was told, and i never heared all of what was said at the time lol, but based on that and whats transpired since, im pretty certain im dead on the button. The guy who told me, certainly can be classed as ITK. Been 110% correct on everything hes told me, which is usually not a lot. Knows deadly personally, and has had loads of dealings wihin midlands football before retiring. I still see him regular and always have to refrain myself from asking things......dont want to be rude or considered a pest lol, and he is a genuine nice chap
  8. Well, if it helps, Spuds are having the same with Bale. At the end of the day, good players will always be wanted by other clubs no matter whom the players club is.
  9. Im not an expert on this, but i think the Fraud squad would be interested in those documents. Something very fishy going on, especially since Pannu has been accused of it in the past. Birmingham City Football Club - Giving the proceeds of organised crime a reputable name
  10. I think we will qualify, but i have no faith in Woy in getting us further than the first stages in Brazil. Fear just seems to get hold of him, and he then goes all negative.
  11. In anycase, i think Clark is a better midfielder. For me, his concentration is just not what it should be for a top class CB. In midfield, hes more involved.

  13. I wont poo-poo this link, because the player will strengthen us in two positions, add a little more experience, and knows what Lambert requires on the field. Sensible move in my opinion.
  14. I think the media can just name drop a lot of clubs in place of Spuds, and not be far wrong. The player will have that many suiters, and the fact that we are now seen as a little more than a selling club, they will test our resolve.
  15. 4 points from those two would be good. If it comes down to wigan, then i can see us bottling it, though i guess the ideal situation would be for us and Wigan only needing a point in that game to stay up. Might not be a great game though, me suspects! Would be even better if it meant those lovely people from the northeast were relegated. Just to see Oneils face!
  16. True.... But hes happy and likes it here. We just have to show him that survival is not our first priority or the next 3 years of his contract. Show him something that will have him thinking hes part of something. Let him grow with the side. Does his career and development no harm, and then when an Inter come in for him, we are quids in. There has to be a long term stratagy here, or whats the point?
  17. Well, if we go back to January, then the indications were, that he did want to bring more experience to a young squad. Dont see that changing anytime soon. So adding a central midfieder and Defender is very much on the cards if we stay up. Then its filling around the edges, Leftback, striker and wide player depending whom he ships out (Ireland, Bent ect.)
  18. I think so much has been said about allowing Lambert to build his own side with fresh, young and hungry players, we simply can not sell either him or Weimann, because it just does the opposite. Relegation puts things in a different light, but these are the foundation stones. Stay up and sell either, then when know exactly where Lerner sees us and what little ambition we have. You build around players like those, not sell at the earliest opportunity.
  19. Chinese whispers.... Leaked from the club to a reporter, fans then accept it as gospel which seems to be happening already, player becomes thought of as greedy bastard, and fans then accept him being sold because who wants a greedy bastard at the club. I mean, aint this whats got us in the mess we are in (according to the same whispers)? Hes simply doing the sensable thing of holding it off until the end of the season, when our future will be a lot clearer. This 50k thing is total rubbish, and you have to start asking why this rumour is being spread.
  20. http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11661/8599815 Reading the above, if i were Benteke, i think i mght be looking for a new agent. One that has my future at heart and not one trying to make a quick buck from my success.
  21. Totally agree. Left full-back, and central midfield, with a bit more experience in depth. But we have to stay up!!!
  22. No, Guzan spent time with Manure when he was younger. Was passed over by a couple of other good teams aswell, before coming to us. They released him thinking he would not make the grade.
  23. Benteke will stay at Villa next term, providing:- 1) We are still in the division and 2) We show him signs that the club are not going to be in another survival fight.
  24. It was top drawer. If i can be a little critical, though in a constructive way. I think he could of got down a bit earlier for their deflected goal, though i am being picky, and im pretty sure he will think the same when he analyses his performance. On the other hand, a lot was made about them hitting the post, but for me, if it never, Guzan had it. What a save that would of been! Like him a lot. Gets across his line pretty quick, very agile, and he communicates with his defenders all the time. Has been let down a few times this season by those same defenders. Imagine what he would be like with beter defenders in front of him? Worryingly for us, he was highly regarded before he came to us. He was on Manures books for a while, so in the eyes of a few, he is now proving the promise he had. I think we may have a problem holding on to him.
