    I would start the next game in a 5-3-2 formation. Moreno and Bailey/Diaby on the flanks. Torres, Langlet and Carlos in central defence. McGinn, Kamara and Louiz central in the middle. Then we avoid using Cash

    If we are to stay at Villa Park, we should ensure permission to build out both the DE and the North Stand. I am afraid that if we build the new North stand first, we will have a huge problem with building out the last stand.

    The rule is already that the owner of the club must pay 90 of the 105 million from his own pocket. Either in cash or buy more shares in the club, as our owners have done many times. If the owner does not contribute money, the club cannot lose more than about five million a year. The fact that there are three years that are looked at together means that it is much better to lose 35 million each year than to go to zero for two years and then lose 105 in one year. The loss of 105 is carried over for two more years, and means that you have to break even for the next two years. A loss of 105m means that you have to spend four years in zero to stay within the regulations, and are then limited to 105m in five years, and not 175m.

    Excellent draw for England in CL. Easy opposition for own teams and many teams from Spain/Italy/Germany who have to play dachs other.

    With both Manchester United and Newcastle out of Europe, we can give up five teams in Cl next season. Italy gets all its teams through, Germany does well, and Spain has strong teams. Spain also has two teams out, but one of them is in the Conference league, and it gives fewer points than CL. Can hope for Newcastle goal in the last five minutes, but they have been weak in the second half.

    Agree that there are similarities with 1980/-81. But also some clear differences. Match programme: Back then we only had the league to think about. Knocked out of both cups early. In the FA Cup, we even lost in the first round against Ipswich, who were our closest challengers. Ipswich played in two tournaments in addition to the league. Had we had the same number of games we probably wouldn't have won, although I wouldn't bet against it... We were very lucky with injuries, so far this year we have been unlucky, although we have solved it well. Opposition: It was mainly just Ipswich. The best teams of the time, Forest and Liverpool had weak seasons. This year, most of the good teams are also off to a good start. Attack: We had two very good strikers, like having Kane today, or at least Toney. Those countries are likely to lose only one team each before the knockout rounds.
