  1. You know golbats are the evolved version of zubats? You could just evolve zubat.
  2. So been playing since the UK release. Have to say really innovative game, nothing else quite like it. However it definitely needs tweaking. I work in the city centre so when I've had to walk to and from new street it's crazy. The amount of people you see playing it as well, unbelievable. I am also near to St Pauls Cathedral which is a haven for Pokemon and pokestops. My office is just on the vicinity of a pokestop so am catch Pokemon without any real issue. Not getting major rare ones but still it's fun. However at home I got nothing. Even if I use a lure it doesn't really attract much and the best I have got is a Weedle (which was good as hadn't had 1 yet) or a damn Pidgey. It would be good if the pokemon "grassy areas" were moved around so you didn't all end up at the same point. Pokestops I get as they are linked to real places. Also I tried the gyms and they are ok but it's mainly button bashing and the problem is that because they are already at quite a high level, can barely make a dent. Would be nice if they did it more leveled so everyone could enjoy more. Clearly it will be balanced out and given its been released for only 3 days there are going to be changes; but it is just crazy! I do now hope though that they will finally get around to releasing the proper pokemon games on the phones. I begrudge having to pay £100 for a Nintendo 3ds for 1 bloody game...
  3. Indeed. Check out the prices here. We are a category A game, so £42 is the cheapest adult ticket...
  4. Not particularly fussed whether he stays or goes, more inclined for him to go but if we are to sell him it would need to be Celtic or similar rather than Newcastle. Should never sell to promotion rivals. Can tell you now if he is sold to Newcastle I guarantee 15-20 goals for them including a hat trick against us...
  5. That's why him being injured for most of last season may actually pay off now!
  6. The amount of press coming from Amavi and the OS website says to me that he is pretty set on staying. Certainly until January anyway...
  7. FYI - Ravel Morrison played in a friendly for Lazio last night Report Here. Would appear that he is sticking in Lazio for the time being.
  8. Those quotes suggest he realises he lost focus last year. Hopefully he is going to turn that into something positive. Could be a big player next season.
  9. Not the worse player in the squad but wouldn't be one that I missed. Would be good to get money for him and will help with reducing the squad. If it comes off will be good; just need to get a few others off the books too!
  10. If I recall, Gil has been pretty set on leaving since at least January. I think I read somewhere that his agent was touting him out then anyway but didn't get out. Unless RDM has convinced him to stay then he is likely one out of the door. It also depends on how RDM wants to play. If he is going 4-4-2 Gil and Grealish would likely go on the wings rather than the centre and with Westwood likely to go that really only leaves Vertout in that position. if he goes for the favoured (at the moment) 4-2-3-1 Gil and Grealish will be in the at 3 and the creative midfielder could play further back alongside Tshibola or alongside both Grealish/Gil in that 3. I do agree with you that a seasoned pro with a level head would be ideal in the midfield. And yeah 2 strikers would be very handy! Ayew may go leaving Gestede as our likely only choice striker which would be bad...! Kozak's attitude was never his problem, when he did play last season he was giving 110%. However his fitness was horrific; he was clearly lacking after the lengthy spell on the side with injuries. If his fitness has got better (and given he played in the training match along with the Sheikh of Fitness then maybe) I reckon he will be more likely to be part of the squad next season. Wouldn't have a problem with him staying, but not got the confidence at the moment for him to be 1st or 2nd choice. 1st striker, 2nd striker, Gestede, Ayew, Kozak + the others to me suggests he is likely to play 2 up front and he is getting rid of the other strikers (and maybe Ayew as well) but 2 in clearly says some will be moved on thankfully!
  11. Spine of the team to be completed within 2 weeks according to Tony. Weibo helping out: Creative midfielder and strikers? Maybe a typo but I like the sound of more than 1 striker
  12. 18,000 season tickets sold according to our Tony on his Weibo Account: Typed in English too!

    Joe Bennett

I am not sure why people are getting so het up about Joe Bennett? Yes he hasn't been very good in the past; Cissohko hasn't been great either. What ever happens it seems that one of them will be back up to Amavi, the other will likely leave. RDM is given them both a fair chance to prove themselves. If he thinks they aren't good enough then he will get rid of both and bring someone else in. That isn't rocket science, but am I missing something?
  14. Didn't play in readings friendly today if that tells you anything...
  15. Still not seen anything official but he is a formal director of Aston Villa FC Limited and Aston Villa Football Club Limited on Companies House; suggesting that all is done on the Fit and Proper Test. Click here for Companies House link
  16. Now that Middlesborough have signed Valdes if they are still interested in Guzan it would be as a number 2. So no different than he has been here...
  17. This. Definitely not the reason we are down, but we need as complete a revamp as possible. If he stays, it would be because RDM thinks he can do something with. If he goes I do hope he does well. Seems to have a good attitude and yes sometimes his performances were not good enough, but they were way, way better than most here and not a dick. For that reason alone he is/was one of the better players.
  18. And Redmond has just been bought by Southampton for a reported £10 million. Ayew had a strike rate of 1 in 4 which normally isn't great but in our team last season he was by far the strongest striker. He was the only one that really seemed to try up front and actually stretched the defence. Yeah he may not be perfect, no one was last season. But given the silly money going around I would be a little surprised if no one took a punt on him. Still if no one doesn't, I am not complaining; though I would think he would work better in a partnership up front rather than as a sole striker or winger as he was used last season. With RDM promoting strikers from youth team and rumoured to be looked at strikers hopefully this is maybe what we are doing.
  19. Absolutely. Is it just me or are the transfer rumours in the premier league this season seem to be for silly money? And it's not just the big clubs, crystal palace bidding £25million for Benteke?! Palace?!
  20. Agree. Think if no one offers better then he will happily stay; but say if a decent premiership team came in for him he will be more than happy to jump ship. Maybe misinterpreting but that's the way it came across to me. Given that he was one of the few highlights of last season I can imagine someone bidding on him.
  21. So long and thanks for the beard!
  22. With Sherwood, if he wasn't so tactically inept, he might do a decent job. He would struggle to qualify but I can imagine he doing well in the knockout stages if he ever got there. He also knows the like of Kane etc. as well and could actually get the ball to him! And imagine the press having an absolute field day with him? Wouldn't get anywhere but I would probably liken it to when Maradona managed Argentina!* *Please note, not an endorsement; just merely a suggestion. It would be absolutely horrendous!
  23. Whilst that was a substantial beard, I'm not sure 1 game counts! And yes he is still technically a Villa player...
  24. This! We have not had a good beard in the first team for sometime, though Baker gave it a good shout last season. Though I would be happy with good football too!
  25. We sold one?! seriously if we do sign anyone between now and training camp it will be in positions that either: 1. That player has said they want out for whatever reason and will need to be replaced; or 2. A position that is so deficient that it we need someone there (e.g. Elphick). And also during discussions between RDM and Xia I am sure RDM would have mentioned who he wants and where he needs to strengthen so it's not beyond the realms of possibility that he would know where we need to strengthen. So talk of a striker, creative midfielder and goalkeeper are pretty obvious. Hell, this was where even Garde was looking to strengthen, it is not rocket science!
