  1. It was. Ridiculously casual at times, bordering on arrogance but he is young and will learn, hopefully.
  2. Always turned it on against the big boys did Christian.
  3. Everytime the ball got near him the panic set in. Sliced clearances, rushed passes instead of just holding the ball and running into space. Mentally not up to it. Would like to see a 40 yard screamer go in though before he leaves.
  4. Martin O'Neill. The same man who played the same 11 week in week out for the season, ran them into the ground until they were all shot to shit and out season collapsed....giving lectures on player conditioning and maintenance. Right.
  5. Parking sensors. Borrowed my sister's car for the day. Parked next to curb, sensor goes off. Parked up next to car, sensor goes off, traffics lights behind vehicle, sensor goes off, traffic lights alongside vehicle, sensor goes off. I wouldn't mind but it is a Fiesta, if you want to park just look out the **** window.
  6. I know on my old telly box remote there was a back button which would flick back to the last channel visited. You need to make sure you go two channels away from the good stuff.
  7. I did read that earlier, astounded he didn't get a heavy sentence..but not really astounded knowing our justice system. Selfish, stubborn old word removed should have topped himself to be perfectly honest, don't know how he gets out of bed in the morning after what he has done.
  8. Don't click on the link, that website is pure AIDS.
  9. Brazil qualified. Neymar scores again. 52 in 77 according to Wiki. Will break 100 goals comfortably, cannot see him going down the usual Brazilian path of putting on weight and enjoying life.
  10. Didn't they also try to get trending "We are Messi" when he was convicted for tax fraud? Coupled with their own highly dubious financial practices over the years, I really despise this club. To think it is the same one I grew up watching in the days of Rivaldo and Ronaldo. Yeah, that club is dead.
  11. More than likely they fancy going down the Chelsea route by keeping players on their books for half a decade raking in loan fees before selling them on.
  12. 5 clubs gave that man a managerial job. FIVE.
  13. Jason McAteer playing in the Liverpool Legends game. Always thought he was a complete non entity of a footballer, though he did score that goal against the Netherlands. Some how.
  14. Pretty much all it achieves is peaking my interest, and then making me google the subject matter or story and read it on someone else's website.
  15. I don't think I have seen a player have so many top class attributes like Sterling and so many abysmal ones too. He does so many goof things but will regularily fail to connect with a tap in from 5 yards or strike a ball cleanly from 20. I am not sure if it is mental or not at this point. Also, if it's 1-1 in a knockout game and he has burst down the wing, hit the byline and only has to play a simple square pass across the box...he is going to mess it up.
  16. Why is half the shit on the BBC Sport website now audio and video links. I am at work, I want to read.
  17. On the subject of that Reading team, Leroy Lita was there too and got a decent haul of goals. Then dissapeared up his own arse and now at the ripe old age of 32 is playing in Thailand after being released by Yeovil.
  18. Him and Dave Kitson. I think reading got over 100 points and about a billion goals when they got promoted. What a force. Both went elsewhere and flopped. The sum is greater than it's parts..
  19. People who are unable to accept blame, fault and that they made a simple error. Even if it's in black and white, "you did this, this is wrong." Cue huffing and puffing, and the desperate scramble for excuses. If I make a mistake I beat myself up over it, probably too much.
  20. Jermaine Defoe is a great example of how long you can go if you look after yourself. Listening to him speak he always seemed a truly dedicated pro, who lived for scoring goals, and that is still in him. Still lean as anything, still got a touch of pace, clearly hasn't indulged in alcohol or smoking at any point as shown by his athletic capabilities still being evident. Still wants to score goals, still wants to punish defenders, still lives his whole life geared towards being in prime condition when that ball is played in front of him on a Saturday afternoon. Then we have Gabby, you only have to look at his gait to see he has ruined himself.
