I don't think I have seen a player have so many top class attributes like Sterling and so many abysmal ones too. Jermaine Defoe is a great example of how long you can go if you look after yourself. Listening to him speak he always seemed a truly dedicated pro, who lived for scoring goals, and that is still in him. Still lean as anything, still got a touch of pace, clearly hasn't indulged in alcohol or smoking at any point as shown by his athletic capabilities still being evident. Still wants to score goals, still wants to punish defenders, still lives his whole life geared towards being in prime condition when that ball is played in front of him on a Saturday afternoon.
