Well for starters it looks like we are looking to spend between 6m to 8m(maybe more) on an attacking midfielder due to both Montpellier and Nurnberg saying we had enquired about Belhanda and Kiyotake. Then maybe sign a striker for around the same again I reckon

The idea of such a structured deal is that it gives a decent degree of value to both sides. If Benteke proves to be the player your fans think he is, then you'll get the sort of fee you want. If he doesn't then you'll get a decent fee for a one season wonder. We actually do, it will be closer to what our board want. You ain't dealing with a mickey mouse club here. And no one would treat you as such. A compromise that satisfies both parties will most likely be met. Neither set of fans will be happy, as your want a big fee up front,uns whilst most Spurs fans are unsure about Benteke and wouldn't value him very highly. But the clubs will come up with a deal that offers protection for both sides of the deal, which is why a lump sum with possibility of significant performance related add on's is the most likely outcome. From reading a few spuds forums. The few spuds fans that actually have a clue about football can see how good he is and then like with all clubs there is plenty of plebs who just talk shit without actually knowing what they talk about. Benteke is worth 25m, the only doubt is that he hasnt done it for longer than one season but the potential is there and thats what spuds would be paying for.

Undoubted quality but a very immature kid that could ruin his own career. Refused to go on loan whilst at Standard, went on strike at Genk and now is trying to force a move through after less than a year with us. I wish him the worst as I detest this type of individual.
