it takes time to turn a side around with a wage structure like we have in place now, we cant just sign proven quality that will improve us instantly. also the fact that under mcleish our players were sent out every game to try and get a draw does something to the players mentality especially the young players which we have alot of. try have patience and in a year or two lambert will have us flying.

looks very good on the deck both defending and when on the ball but questions remain over his aerial ability

Unlucky today, we went all out to score goals and give ourselves a chance which we did and nearly got a result. such brilliant hind-sight managers in this thread as usual

unlucky but probably should of bolstered the midfield by maybe taking off a forward as we still had an unused sub but was a good performance and once again we get the kick in the balls near the end :/

Lambert did fine today givin what he has to work with. we could of set up like we would under Mcleish today and lost 2 or 3 nil without having a go. Lambert has had to sign 9 players with 20 odd million and he cant pay any of them more than approx 25k per week. how was he supposed to have a major impact this season with that kind of strategy from the board? he is in the worst job in the premier league and it will be a miracle if we stay up with the defence we have no matter who the manager
