  1. Every team we have played has been better than us in every department. We totally deserve our position. Would love the season to just end now. This is too painful. Relegation is one thing but relegation without a fight is a lot to take in.
  2. I'm OK with it if it means we can be proud of this club again. And maybe we'll be the media darlings when we come back up 10 years from now.
  3. I would just like to start enjoying this team again. Quite frankly I don't care what division we are in. Going into a game thinking we might win would be great right now.
  4. My point is that 'way out in front' is very misleading when you only asked 278 people. How can 278 people possibly represent Republican voters?
  5. It's worth noting that Trump may not be that popular anyway - even before his comments about Muslims. The headlines state that he is 'way out in front' in the polls. The latest (or a very recent one at least) CNN poll (http://www.cnn.com/.../donald-trump-poll-cnn-orc-national/) sampled 278 people and it was only 36% of those who said they would vote for Trump. I wonder if there is any poll with a decent sample size that shows Trump as popular.
  6. I think the problem is that a lot of us hoped (yet again) that a new manager would give the players a lift and we would see an impact. The Man City game suggested that had happened. I think we are beyond 'new manager syndrome' as we are deep into the habit of losing. There just seems to be utter panic when we attack and then we are shocked that our forwards lash at chances - they seem to feel that will only get one chance per game and with good reason. Surely if you're attacking you're defending. Trying to 'hold' any team from the kick off just oozes fear. I would hope that Remi was just doing some A>B testing. He saw what happens when we are offensive from the outset in the Man City game and thought "I wonder what would happen if we did the opposite" - just to be sure that's a bad idea. I would also hope that he realized that Grealish is nowhere near man enough for the first team.
  7. Never seen a Villa side with such little attacking threat.
  8. Gil and Grealish are luxury players. Gil is as effective as Barry Bannan and I'd rather see Nzogbia than Grealish. Does Grealish play like someone who cares about this club?
  9. The thing is I'm sure the players have already lost this one mentally. There is no self-belief whatsoever in this team. Chelsea full of confidence. Villa devoid of confidence. I would hope that TS has been given an ultimatum for this game - 'lose it and you're out'.
  10. People say he kept us up but let's be honest, we scraped home - even with Delph and Benteke at his disposal. We embarrassed ourselves at Wembley. He couldn't get the team fired up for a cup final. We need someone to get a winning mentality back into this team.
  11. When a bunch of guys - who have never met before - play a game of football, they manage to play as a team and understand that the point is to score goals. We manage to play like we have no idea what the point of this game is. I truly feel they would play better without guidance because I just can't imagine the instructions they are being given. Sherwood needs to go. For the record, I never wanted Doug to go. These are the dark days of this club. I think if I had chosen to support this club rather than being born this way, I might be able to walk away.
  12. What happened to Gaby? Watching him when he was a lot lighter you'd swear he was going to be a great player. My view is that he has fallen victim of us just playing crap football season after season. Is he one of those players that only looks good when the team does?
  13. 18 shots with 11 on target. And let's not talk about the opposition. It's a cup game and big teams fall to lower league teams. Let's be positive. It was going badly and we turned it around. An improvement in my opinion.
  14. I think you might be right. They're actually playing attacking football.
  15. Isn't it nice to see us creating chances though?
  16. Why does the internet allow someone who can't differentiate between 'your' and 'you're' to use a keyboard?
  17. We're really not. You're right - we really aren't. What is more worrying is that when we get in front of the opposing team's goal, our players have no finesse - they're like teenage boys about to lose their virginity - it's all panic. Do they work on attacking in traning? And our 'good on the counter attack' tag is wearing REALLY thin.
  18. I'd just be happy if a player chose us over Hull.
  19. Well at least we created chances. Big improvement from Saturday. And the possession stats are an improvement too. For me this was a tolerable defeat because we actually looked like we could win it. The Newcastle game was so typical of last season in that we never looked like we could or would win it. We had a lot of chances that could have gone in on another day. Yes I am clutching at straws for something positive about a defeat to Leyton Orient.
  20. My theory is that Keane is there to step up if Lambert doesn't get results.
  21. Telly Savalas Looks at Birmingham. Yes you read that right. Kojak talks about Birmingham. I was lost for words. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EoHVO1eSMFc#t=15
  22. 61 goals conceded. I wouldn't keep any of the defenders. Surely these stats are to do with the tactics though right? They aren't bad players imo. Our tactics put our defenders under pressure for 90 minutes.
  23. i saw villa get relegated under mcneill. at least that team tried to beat teams - there was hope with that team. i don't see that money has anything to do with tactics or team spirit. other teams must feel so full of confidence playing us. to all those who hounded doug and dol out of this club - pat yourselves on the back - great job - well done...those were the 'dark days' right?
