  1. no matter how much we harp on, on these forums, or on other outlets, in which some numpty at the club could see, the first team coaches seem to be still too scared to throw in more youth and drop the senior players, the club has nothing else to lose. the attitudes of the first team really does stink, clearly we all know this, obviously somebody at the club is telling the players (i hate calling them that) to go to the media and tell us supporters that theyre sorry, and how theyre going to keep trying, and how theyre sticking together, and how theyre working extra hard in training, blah blah blah, when their actions actually tell the true story, that they dont care, and as soon as the transfer window opens, they will be insisting on being put on the transfer list. well it will be of no surprise, i bet most of them will be welcomed to leave. another problem, that it appears that the attitudes of the senior players (do i really have to call them that?) is rubbing off on some of the youth players, which really is a shame.
  2. two of you voted steve bruce? oh dear. :-/
  3. the only purpose gabby now serves is to ensure the opposition play against 10 men and have the advantage.
  4. i'm even more disappointed in the club, but also questioning why he would leave under a completely new board who look like they might get things in place. granted, he was unproven and wasn't as eccentric as sherwood, but as we all know, money does the talking in football, and with the introduction of transfer windows, almost every manager has the right to put his twist on a team, we never know, 3 new additions could of boosted the team out of relegation. no club will succeed if they change their manager every few months, not only is villa not patient with their own choice of manager, but they don't go about signing the right manager in the first place.
  5. anyone know why he chose to sign for this crumbling club instead of staying in london at west ham?
  6. step up callum robinson, gabby is done.
  7. before the change at the top i had the opinion that there was too many people in the boardroom (too many chefs etc...) then it looked like things would be more stream-lined, but no, too many people in the boardroom again. ellis. stride and ansell managed to sort everything out between them... as for the whos who line up of directors, there is still no sign of any money being made available to strengthen the area of the club that needs it the most, the first team.
  8. what im saying is the club clearly arent going to buy 11 new players, so a tough decision clearly needs to be made as to who is going to jump ship that needs replacing, over who is willing to stay and fight, hes not bad a defender, not the best, and cant attack, but hes ok at clearing balls, a no nonsense defender, sort of.
  9. ill try and find it as i cant remember where i saw it, but it said that amavi, veretout, gana and ayew are being put on the transfer list.
  10. we all know hutton isnt good enough, but theres no denying that he tries hard, look at it from his perspective, his family are settled here and hes at the age were he will no longer command a decent fee or for many clubs to want him, nor would he get offered anything near that he earns at villa, for that reason, if he doesnt want to be shamed by the club, like being put with the u18s, he has to put the effort in, he doesnt seem like a bad guy either, just, not a great footballer. i think hes also one that will do ok for us next season in the championship for that also i think he should be our first RB next season.
  11. an article yesterday read that hes been put on the transfer list, well that squashes that hope then of him being the main left back next season.
  12. if the club can ship out richards and lescott in the summer, then thats a sign okore will stay (if they club dont be morons and sell him) okore might not be up there with mellberg, laursen, staunton or southgate but hes good enough for the championship
  13. this lad wanted to out do his brother, well the club have screwed that up for him so he must be p*ssed, would be nice to keep him but he will probably want out to better himself. shame really.
  14. complete opposite of opinions from the top to the bottom of this page, it makes us non the wiser as to whether he is a player that will be kept or booted. a player that can obviously perform to a reasonably high standard, when his head is in the game, but makes the worst possible mistakes when it isnt. amavi its a pity and i hope we keep him next season, aly is a good player, im interested to see bennett back now that hes beefed up (i said years ago this is what he needed to do), and with the emergence of kinsella, i dont see us going into the championship with 4 left backs.
  15. the club needs to just stop throwing our youth players away and actually save some money, were in the championship next season so we might as well give the lad a chance.
  16. so first stage is almost complete. second stage, having a manager who can be trusted with the chequebook who will sign players to get us to winning ways again third stage, getting money out of lerner to buy them players
  17. is anybody able to list the good things hes done for this club?
  18. its looking a more positive set up than before but i dont see the need for another person (head of football operations) surely brian little could take on the above role? with berstein or king as finance director (which ever one was the banker lol) also, what type of director role is the general taking?
  19. so we have a general and a lord on the board of directors. ok then.
  20. so 2 of the 3 who need to go have stepped down so far, neither of them sacked? interesting tactics used by hollis maybe? why would you step down from an extremely high paid job... still, glad hes gone.

    GTA 5

i still havent completed the heists yet, ive gotten half way through the third mission, theyve been out ages as well, most of my mates have either jumped onto other games or are on xbox
  22. hindsight is a wonderful thing
  23. where are our scouts at the moment? searching in the right places or sitting in front of football manager?
  24. well hes got another 2 years on his contract here, and is anybody seriously going to want him? the position the club is in now, we have many first teamers who arent very good in the premier league, some however might be better suited to the championship, some wont, but how do we know who we can rely on in a league lower? gabby is another one of those players we would even have difficulty sending him out on loan, no premier league club next season will want him, nor will any league 1 club want to contribute to his wages.
