The blue face / blue strap combo is always a winner in my opinion.

You're kidding me. My Galactic 41 is, rather unsurprisingly, 41mm and it looks tiny compared to that pic.
  3. It also heavily assumes Simon Jones knows his arse from his elbow when it comes to the internal workings of Villa this close-season. For the first time in a long time I'm okay with the sell to buy phraseology. Sell the likes of Ireland, Bent, Given et al and bring in more Lowton, Benteke and Westwood types.

    What size face is that?
  5. This may be a stupid question, but if someone buys a skinned HTC One and HTC go bump, will they cease to receive the latest Android updates? Also, if they bought the vanilla Android version, are the updates sent in line with Nexus products from Google?

I know the one Connor and it's a beaut too, just I have two blue watches already so would love the white one.
  7. I suppose the effectiveness of the manager's disciplinary actions goes hand in hand with the level of respect the manager carries. That itself goes in-turn with the likelyhood of a player stepping out of line under a respected manager. Obviously PDC has washed his dirty laundry in public, but if it were a SAF or Mourinho vs. players then there's only going to be one winner. For PDC, I can't see a similar outcome.

Personally, I think this Tag Monaco "Steve McQueen" special edition is lovely!

Patek Phillipe make some beautiful watches, normally very plain and tasteful in appearance. In terms of price, they average PP would be far more expensive than the average Rolex, and I believe they made the most expensive watch ever sold too. Your friend's collection will undoubtedly be worth an awful lot of money.
  10. With Everton and Stoke without managers, rumours flying around about Pardew and Laudrup vacating their seats, the mess up at Sunderland, Fulham with an ageing, relatively lifeless team and the Baggies looking likely to lose Lukaku, there's a real possibility for us to climb up the table with some more good purchases, and keeping hold of Benteke. Looking forward to the summer and next season already!
  11. He mayo may not be someone we're likely to poach, but got the feeling he may prefer going to Holland(aise). I'll get my coat....
  12. In fairness they too are trying to recover from O'Neill It's taken us 3 years but the bloodletting is nearly done. For once I think that we're one of the few teams at our level going into next season in a position of stability.

Gosh, I posted a picture of my watches in a thread called 'Watches'....what was I thinking, lol? I've long been an admirer of nice watches but have only been able to consider buying in the last 3 years or so, as the business in Dubai has grown. Not sure quite what that has to do with 'inflating house prices' or 'how best to reflate the economy', but I don't feel anyone should need to apolgise for what they own, or posting it in a relevant thread on VT. FWIW, for many years my most treasured watch was a Pulsar Spoon - thought it was the nuts when it came out

Must say the Hublot looks a lot bigger in that pic due to the fact it's standing up on its strap and is nearer the camera, fyi!

Bit of a sucker when it comes to watches. I've got 3 at the moment but want to add a silver and white Cartier Calibre non chronograph if I can. Here's the 3 so far - Breitling Galactic 41 in blue, the Hublot Vendome Classic Fusion and a silver and black Tag Link. Have to say as much as I love the Breitling, the original leather strap broke after 18 months and cost about 150 quid to replace. The counts!!!
  16. Ì expect Phil Neville to be on the coaching staff in some capacity, as I can't see Kenwright forking out for compensation for a new manager AND back room staff.
  17. Do Stoke have the players to play in any other style in order to get results? I think not, with the possible exception of Charlie Adam (who is still only 27 can you believe??). In order to bring in a new manager, like a Poyet, they're going to have to spend a lot more money to improve the talent base, as attractive football with their lot will only end in disaster. On another note, that's one potential suitor for Darren Bent that's now left the building.
  18. Houllier mentioned same thing when he was here Exactly this. Another manager coming in after MON has noticed a complete lack of professionalism and a poor level of fitness. PDC has been a clearing in the woods by not keeping it in-house and has therefore done his employers a poor turn. Whatever fee that players like Phil Bardsley would've commanded will naturally be slashed now, as everyone and 'Arry's dog knows that he's not wanted at Sunderland anymore. Expect him to be snapped up by a newly promoted team for peanuts.
  19. The same media training that Ashley Young received.
  20. She's a babe Heard Whelan's missus is a babe 2 : Pig in the City puns have gone sow-th though.
  21. How do you think we, and every other club, signs players then? Matty Lowton, Ashley Westwood and Benteke himself all moved mid contract from other clubs to join a bigger club in Aston Villa. Why would it be any different when / if they move on again?
  22. It hopefully won't have gone unnoticed that the vast majority of our goals come from Benteke, so I expect further attacking options up front and in midfield to go alongside a new CB.
