  1. He's silky and effortless. A joy to watch for the most part. Our best player.
  2. No. Most sources say £160k. Either that or he’s had a payrise since this morning.
  3. This isn't spoke about enough. If Carlos comes back and does well, we're in much better position (obviously), but if he struggles because of the level/injury, then centre back is probably one of the areas we need to improve upon most. Konsa isn't going to cut it for a top half/Europe push.
  4. Hells yeah I can. That's exactly why we NEED to know.
  5. We probably need to win 3 of the next 4 to have even an outside chance. Personally, 10th would be a fantastic finish given the situation we were in when Emery took charge and the quality of the squad. I think we'll finish 12th.
  6. True. I think Luiz is lacking in some aspects of his play, but he's very comfortable taking the ball off the defenders and that massively helps us a team. Previously, when McGinn and Ramsey were doing it, we were struggling. I actually think Emery may go after a new centre half and central midfielder in the Summer to further reinforce his playing style.
  7. He's having a good season, no doubt about it.
  8. Pretty much, but he's included United players in there.
  9. It actually was. I'd argue he was the best of the back 4 on the weekend. His problem will always be when faced up against somebody with pace. He's so slow it's painful.
  10. Just on the subject of his wages, I know @Tomaszkgets tidbits now and again from the club. Can you confirm how much he’s on, mate?
  11. I think Mount is pretty good tbh. Seems to get a lot of slack for underperforming in an England shirt but I think he’s a good player. God knows what they do with the rest of them.
  12. I’d argue Digne is the best example of that tbh. £160k a week for a left back used in rotation is a lot of money for a club that can’t finish in the top 10… We need to be much more sensible as a club moving forward. Maybe Gerrard pushed for it and we can blame him!
  13. *Heads over to Google* Ah I see, so you're saying I'm criticising him for his performances and then further attacking him personally because of his wages?
  14. So you think I’m attacking Digne as a player because of his wages? You’re 100% sure I’m not ‘attacking’ the player because he’s been poor this season and criticising the club for not thinking long term when signing players of an older age profile?
  15. So you’re saying people are criticising Dignes performances because of his wages?
  16. It’s factually true to the point it sends @CVByrnef**** nuts. Naturally, we’re all now sticking to it.
  17. And that’s without the appearance bonus. £260k a week!
  18. Ridiculous giving him that much. No wonder he couldn’t wait to join!
  19. We’ll just forget the previous 2 years then..? If McGinn performs like that week in, week out, sure, happy to accept he’s a top half player. But considering he’s been poor for a long, long time and we were playing arguably the worst side in the division, I’m not sure we should be building our European aspirations around him. Really likeable player in a lot of regards though.
  20. Konsa, Cash, McGinn, Bailey, Ramsey (on current form), Digne.
  21. Just looking at some of the numbers with regards to how much equipment the Russians have lost is quite staggering. Tanks, Helicopters, drones. You name it, they’ve lost it. Will they have an army left when this is all said and done? Forgetting the horrible casualties and the numbers of men lost (tragic beyond words really), but surely the longer this plays out, the better for the west, provided China don’t get involved - which they’d be mad to. Russian economy must also be taking a battering. This has gone from being a war won in a couple of days with Putin marching through Kiev to a 12 month war and staggering losses of men and equipment. Nice one, Vlad.
  22. Right now, I think he’d be starting for the likes of Chelsea, United and Arsenal (given Jesus is out). That’s how well he’s played in recent weeks. I’ve been very critical at times but if he performs consistently like he is now, there is no need for a new striker in the Summer which will save us a helluva lot of money.
  23. All fair points and I get what you’re saying. Still makes for painful viewing at times. Not sure I agree that ‘these players can do this’. Personally, I don’t think a lot of our squad is top half quality and I’m hoping that will change this Summer.
