    That's it then mcginnq plays every game every week, possession football dosnt work with mcginn in the team another season of garbage on its way. Mcginn should not be in our starring 11 but captaincy suggests he plays very very poor decision from SG.

    Massive season for Stevie this year if and I say if he persists with his favourites either player or formation he is doomed. Playing mcginn mings and Ramsey in a possession based game style dosnt work all 3 are poor at ball retention and 2 of them cannot stop lumping the ball needlessly long inviting more and more pressure on the defence. Formation wise 2up front dosnt work it's very ineffective and lacks a real punch in terms of goals.If SG persists with picking what he views his best 11 and results in playing a player out of position he will be under huge pressure by end of October. I couldnt care less who trains the best clearly mcginn trains well this don't guarantee anything on game day. We have a squad of players fairness and trying to win games is what I want not the same picking of failing players hoping the luck changes. Over to you SG

    If morgan stays fit I think he's a big player for us,imo he's better than mcginn and possibly better than Luiz. He simply hasn't had anywhere near the chance others have had in midfield so for me until he has been given a fair chance I will believe he is the player we think he can be from marseille days.

    For me mcginn cannot be part of the first eleven if possession based is the way we go, he has terrible passing and keeping the ball cpnsistently giving the ball away. Gerrard looks to be heading towards possession based something we clearly have lacked. I think kamara needs another DM next to him so Sangare could be a great shout but my overall view is if we play 2 infront of defence they must be able to break up play pass and move ball forward. Sangare signing or sanson is my pick to partner kamara.

    It's all well and good saying get rid not good enough but Morgan sanson has simply not been given a fair go at villa. When he has played he has looked a tidy player, yes he's been injured but the overall view is he's not had a fair crack. With regards to some people's views imagine as a footballer where the pressure is cranked up when you do start it's not acceptable to keep faith in failing players with zero repercussions and sanson starts and in his mind can't relax and express himself because others have a safe ride. Imo he needs a regular run to determine if he can or cannot hold a place in the team unfortunately he's been written off without any chance at all.

    OK this is my starting line up for next game and why. 4 1 2 3 Emi Cash Young Chambers Mings Nakamba Beundia Sanson Coutinho Bailey Ings Reason for this is mcginn Ramsey Luiz Watkins and konsa have had far too many chances. Nakamba is ball winning mid as sanson can do but sanson can be the basis of defence into attack his calmness on ball impresses me. In summer sell mcginn ( huge profit he's hit his ceiling in prem now) Luiz, el ghazi konsa Watkins all sold sick and tired of watching them

    Gerrard needs to show he has a backbone and drop out of form players. mcginn needs dropping majority have said this time to see what we see Stevie and give the guy a seat on the bench, persisting with him is beyond a joke now cant pass at all gives ball away far too often.

    For me I accept villa will lose games but when we're losing Gerrard can't think talking " This is on me " every defeat is acceptable, when he backs failing performer's by keeping them in the side. Come the summer he will get rid of players but most importantly the squad players will probably request a move therefore weakening us long term. Bailey,traore,hause,sanson possibly beundia have been given absolutely zero opportunities without getting benched next game. Aston villa will possibly have lost value on Bailey,Beundia Watkins and ings none of these mentioned have done anything to suggest a profit. Come the summer Gerrard will know he's in a tough job because due to possible dismay from squad players not getting a chance and upgrades needed I'm not confident this will happen one bit. As always us villa followers will continue to turn up but I'm prepared for a major storm arriving regarding transfers and how we look next season. UTV

    You hit the nail on the head Gerrards favourites are undroppable. Morgan sanson has shown more than mcginn has all season in a handful of appearances. We will regret this error in sanson not playing it will be another Veretout situation, once he left his game went up. If its Gerrard or sanson to leave I'm so pissed off with Gerrard thinking and same old players picked each game then Steve clear your desk. Morgan sanson can do a job if he's given a fair chance

    Surprise surprise Gerrards favourites back in the team, he talks utter dross about giving players a fair chance. Sanson, Chambers beundia and bailey fair chances ay Steve. I'll support villa regardless of our lineup but this is favoritism, Ramsey and mcginn walk the tight rope yet again, both have been very poor recently but will remain in starting side.     Yeah agree and what's completely wrong about it, he dosnt deserve to be benched, he has not played much yet did far more than mcginn. Sanson can improve further, but Gerrard dosnt rate him and that's quite sad really because it absolutely shocking how he cannot get a fair chance in this Villa team.

Mcginn and JJ have had enough chances how about sanson gets a fair chance he's shown more in the very low amount of minutes he's played than mcginn. It's clearly evident mcginn has reached his ceiling as a player, sanson is far better.

    I 100% agree he's shown some really decent touches and passes, this for a guy that has hardly been picked. Imo he's the easy target to bring off and he has been better than both mcginn and jj. Wolves haven't set the highest standard of football we have self destructed at the back soft soft goals

    Dean Smith has done a fantastic job for which he can be proud of but its simple hw isn't premiership management level. I'm great full for what he's done but he has been awful this year and deserves to enjoy a hard earned holiday, he's not upto premiership level.
