  1. Rogers would be another massive mistake. His sucess is all due to being blessed by having the truely world class Suarez in his team. After watching being liverpool on channel 5 last year I felt uncomfortable how he touches the faces of the younger players whilst talking to them. It's all a bit Yew Tree. I thought Allardyce would have been a shoe in. Being a West Midlander by birth would have been as good as having an ex Villa player as boss. He was doing laptops and stats before stats got sexy. Long ball can be beautiful. Me and the geezer I sit next to were drooling over Charlie Adam's amazing switching of play and long balls perfect into stride last weekend. I hope we don't regret missing out on Sam. Have to go all out for Moyes now. Just blow him out of the water with a ten year contract (with a condition that if we ever drop into the bottom 3 or lose 5 consecutive games or lose a match more than 6-0 or break any more unwanted records we can exercise a clause in the contract with says "sacked with no compo")
  2. If Fox isn't busy talking to out of work managers right now regardless of what happens against Chelsea we really are up excrement creek.
  3. I wish we had a player like Jonathan Walters he is such a nuisance battles for everything, the perfect guy to have in a relegation scrap. Stoke are like a team of nobodies players like Wilson and Peters if I was collecting football stickers I would bin them. But somehow they do a job. PLaying 442 against Stokes 5 made Nzonzi look like Viera. It might have been a good idea to go 3 at the back. I think we will come good. Every team down the bottom has had a little bit of a run but ours is due. Bacuna should of come on instead of Weiman.
  4. Weiman flapped our best chance when it was 0-0 and he was put threw with a run on Zabaleta he opted to shoot from miles out. Bowery and Weiman up front may be dangerous against the likes of Hull but City is next level shít
  5. He's set up loads of goals since he came back into the side. Delph's v chelsea, Gab v swansea and his air shot caused confusion in the hull defense to allow time westwood to place the ball in the net. The formation doesn't help him but he's done enough to get a new contract for me.
  6. I'd bring in Bolasie from Crystal Palace. He's now got one seasons prem experience under his belt. so would probably be in the 8 million mark. We really need people who can dribble with pace and power. Although Lambert doesn't seem to utilise wingers so it's unlikely to happen and he's probably read the dossier saying how crap we are.
  7. I felt angry watching match of the day this morning, Hansen and Shearer gushing over shaw's two little surges instead of the many times Albrighton took him on.
  8. maybe Culverhouse/Karsa's savage coke induced mood swings made them unpopular with the players
  9. 2nd one makes me think of oxford united.
  10. after not playing for wigan it's going to take him a few games to get up to match sharpness. Especially a lad who obviously looks a bit chunky. I still believe he'll bang a couple of big goals in.
  11. Any other club would have sent Baker out on loan to make his mistakes.
  12. If 50000 Villa fans all put in £5k, then we can become a supporters co-op and buy him out I'll even put in £10k so I can be on the board ! then what about the 30m per year for transfer fees, signing on bonuses that us the fans demand? Where is that money coming from We collect another job lot of money and have hedge fund investments. or combine our collective pc's to mine for bit coin!
  13. I've read through the first post a couple of times now I think we are going to be on a downward spiral until the board sell up. The only way you can get players busting their balls for the club for crap money is if you have 11 Villa supporting brummies on the pitch. Compare the graft Agbonlahor and Albrighton put in compared to Weiman who doesn't give a toss and Bannan last season who never played for us like he did on boxing day. You run a bit harder if you bleed claret. And lets face it, we might aswell put 11 lads in from birchfield harriers running club the amount of chasing without the ball we have to do. And the only big names you're going to be able to bring in who'll accept crap wages are either players no one else will touch like Joey Barton, someone with McGrath/ Merson type problems or an exiled brummy like Zat Knight. Or Crap like Tonev and El Calamity Lerner has taken his man utd fantasy's too far by watching the class of 92 on repeat. Lambert might be jack the lad at the training ground but in his press conferences/interviews he's not very articulate at all. Nobody believed him when he said he supported Villa as a child on football focus so the board have gone back to the old method of leaking tit bits on message boards to get the propaganda out. Forget Milner and Young, It's obvious to me our big name re-signing of Jan is Super Shaun Maloney
  14. Baker is just a big lump of a centre half. His attributes are his bravery and his size. I remember his clash of heads with Andy Carroll left him blooded like terry butcher then minutes later winning a 50:50 against someone else. These sort of interceptions have masked up his weakness's for so long. Any other club would be sending him out to make his mistakes on loan. I'm surprised he didn't get sent off today.
  15. Delph was probably the best player well in the first half. Subbing el ahmadi was a mistake Weiman should of gone off or Westwood. Get the poor players off the pitch. It was a big ask for Herd to come in at CB. I have no idea what the formation was for the 2nd half.
  16. Its obvious to anyone what lerner is trying to do. He wants to change the philosophy of the coaching to something like what Tony Dungy did in the nfl. He thinks anyone over the age of 23 is too set in their ways and will not respond to it. Especially English and Irish working class lads so he's bombed the old pro's out of the team only Dunne, Ireland and Bent are left, but they'll be on their way soon. just the middle class country boys like Nathan Baker and Ceiran Clarke. I can't believe that Lambert uses this softly softly approach. "don't get upset Ceiran, don't listen to the fans Barry they're animals who work in factorys" The problem we have is that in a relegation scrap you need a screaming sergent major like Tony Pulis. and Dungys team first season was a write off too. Lerner has accepted relegation as a consequence, so get your sat nav's ready for huddesfield next season.
  17. the vitriol from the stands last night whenever he got bullied off the ball, being slow to react, pass went astray........ I think it's best for him he moves on. Bannan would probably do a job in the french or dutch leagues where it's slow paced and not physical. He's been in and around the team for about 4 years. I remember him playing a few uefa games when mon was the gaffer. we lost those as well. There are players like Shaun Maloney and Wayne Routelidge who I thought it would be worth persevering with and now looking at opposition team sheets I think they will cause us problems. But if I ever see an opponents team with Bannan in I'll think 3 easy pts today.
  18. he's french, 6 foot whatever and he's centre midfield so he's the new patrick viera. Well it doesn't always work out like that. Batty, Keane and Mascherano are/were great DM. He's french 2nd div for a reason. We need proven prem experience.
  19. In the defence of Lambert maybe Delph and N'Zog would have played on if we didn't have a cup semi final on tuesday.
  20. I can see Baker having a career like Jonathan Woodgate. He's always getting injured.
  21. I've just watched the Lambert press conf on avtv. He said "I couldn't ask any more from Randy" What the ****? How about asking him for 15mil Don't just ask. Beg get on knees, Do what it takes!
  22. I'm need one or two tickets if anyone has spares. I rang up the club asked if there were any returns and they said they wouldn't be as tickets are non returnable
  23. Lack of leadership on the pitch. You could see that right away before the kick off with the huddle, they were all looking around at each other. Bannan might be a limited footballer but he always seems to be ready for war in a way. Westwood was having a bad game, but El Amhedi (dont care if it's misspelt) was atrocious! I thought Bennett played really well and Delph. Wish he'd taken out Gareth Bale earlier. Ireland changed the whole game when he came on. He is class. He needs to start every game with instructions just to conduct the orchestra. The first 10 mins of the 2nd half we were bossing it. Then we got undone but the heads didn't drop until we went 2-0 down. I do think Guzan could of made that ball and launched it into outer space. The only thing we can do is get to the next game as quick as possible. Then in Jan we need to do business I hate to use it as an example a Dugarry-esque signing. Not Robbie Keane. But maybe Frank Lampard.
  24. we've got a decent record at the bridge. but a crap record against teams managed by benetez. so I'll go for a draw.
