Albrighton was awful but he must have had a rollocking at half time because he seemed to have a bit more determination about him in the 2nd but he still looked out of his depth. I thought we were very unlucky not to win. I was angry with Warnock but he took a lot of stick off the fans who were singing warnock for england and jeering him. On the official history DVD of Aston Villa Saunders was talking about a player that the fans didn't warm to think it was McNaught and he said it was his job to put his back in the way take the flack and protect the player. Well it's time for McLeish to do that. and rest him for a few games. I remember when he got the job McLeish said he's not scared of making the big decisions. The players seem extra nervous at Villa Park. But the problem is the shape. we seem to have loads of attacking talent but we don't have a formation to play them all. We're exposed with Ireland in 4-4-2 and Bent in 4-5-1 isn't working. The people who I went to the match with were debating who Mcleish would take off to bring on Keane at half time. There's no way he'd take off Ireland (after getting roundly booed when he subbed him against Swansea) Bent had scored, Agbonlahor was dangerous all game and Albrighton going off would mean no wingers at all on the pitch and 3 strikers. He took off Warnock in the end as I'd predicted as he was having a bad game. then the shaped went totally out the window. basicly it was just Petrov in midfield. and there were 3 everton players on him every time he got the ball in that last 10 mins. a point stops the rot of 4 defeats at home, also we played some good football after we scored we had a passage of play where the toffee's couldn't get the ball off us and we created a chance for Bent. Ireland could become a great player for us, a proper footballer getting man of the match instead of a grafter.

11 v 11 we would have probably won. McLeish obviously thought we needed a more physical prescence in the midfield so he brought on Heskey. But I don't understand why he continues with Bannan. Local derbys are usually war zones so I would have picked a physical side, Heskey instead of Banan. Herd was battling well before he got sent off. Given made some class saves. Dunne had a good game. Bent doesn't contribute much apart from the pen. N'Zogbia another game passes by where he is infuriatingly shite

Dunne was superb. We had spells where we knocked it about beautifully Ireland pulling the strings, knocking it first time always to a Villa shirt. Unfortunately it always breaks down with N'Zogbia. Have to make do with a point I'm afraid. Thought Delph was poor in the middle again. and he bottled a 50:50 with Barton.

I don't understand the people slating Ireland especially the ones who went to the game on tuesday. Ok Ireland missed 2 good chances but he was dangerous all game. Which is start contrast to Barry Bannan who shows a few deft touches but with no end product. I think he's only ever scored once for us. a tap in. Ireland should play today over Bannan.

the thing that pizzed me off was when eck got the job he had this meeting with some chosen fans that mystery man leaked on some of the message boards with stuff like "we're gonna play exciting football with wingers Gabby and Benty up front 4-4-****-2 Downing not for sale unless we get 50mil.
