  1. Not only Deano. The coaching staff need serious evaluating too. The fitness is terrible (so often 2nd best physically and beaten to the ball) and the injuries at Villa are constant.
  2. He'll be replaced in January, surely. Dreadful this season.
  3. Damn it, Henry Ruggs. Why can't NFL players just behave themselves? Seems like at least one player kills a civilian every year.
  4. His name in Portuguese would roughly translate to Dean Ferreiro... and I'd say he'd improve in the eyes of some. * Ferreiro means any type of smith in Portuguese (ie: smith, blacksmith, ironsmith, etc)
  5. This definitely seems to be the case. Even with players. It's bizarre.
  6. I don't have Brady next week Actually, I have to play most of my bench scrubs. Painful.
  7. His tackling was superb today. He covered so much ground. He made one or two bad passes, but then most players did today. I thought he won the ball back nicely today. He was impressive.
  8. Agreed. I actually thought he was the best player on the pitch today... for either team.
  9. Underrated: Peter Whittingham - I really liked Whits while he was with us [and also admired his career in my hometown afterwards]. He always looked technically sound and was a dead-ball specialist. I think he was a victim of trying to break through amongst Randy's initial - and, let's face it ONLY - investment period) Overrated: Mark Delaney (sorry, I know how popular he is, but he was too stand off-ish as a player for me. I always used to get frustrated with him not putting a foot in)
  10. About time, really. Hopefully he now realises, even as captain, if the performances aren't up to scratch, he'll be dropped. The wake up call he's been asking for.
  11. Ol' Cobby had a great game. Aaron Jones too, thankfully.
  12. Big battle between the 6-1 teams this week.
  13. My guys didn't turn up, sadly. A combination of bad matchups, bye week bench drops, and vague injury statuses aren't helping either. In any normal world 'fractured shin' would usually mean 'not going to play for a while'... but not in the NFL!
  14. I love Blankenship. He's like the Horace Grant of the NFL with those swimming goggles he wears.
  15. Get down, Belichick. Diggs is an absolute superstar.
  16. I'm TALL, bald, and Fedor Emelianenko styley fat... What people are thinking says more about them than it does about anybody else. I'd be especially unperturbed if I was, as per your example, dissed by a child.
  17. Ever since I was a kid (playing OutRun) I've wanted a Ferrari Testarossa Spider, so I'd probably get one of those. I was pricing one up a year or so ago and Mohamed Al-Fayed's was for sale at £125k, so it would be pocket change with 180+mil to spend. I'd also try to buy a 308 GTS Quattrovalvole, like Magnum P.I.
  18. I'd wait a week, tell my family I'd won a few million on the regular lottery, give them a bit of 'leave me alone' money, and then I'd disappear.
  19. Shenault got there in the end! I was minutes away from starting McKissic over Gibson, but took the chance on the latter getting through the game with his injury. Glad I did.

It's personal development too at that age. You move away (the club will likely ask him to do this without any family involvement) and learn to be an adult. I remember them saying this exact thing when we loaned Dominic Revan to Weymouth. Also, down in League One, you're gonna be mixing it with proper blokey-blokes, so that'll toughen him up a bit. He'll be learning in some way or another, be it mentally or just general life skills. Not waltzing into their first team will give him a bit of a reality check too; he'll know there's still work to do, and that's great for him and us.
  21. No biggie, mate. We're both suggesting there's no loyalty, but from different angles. You're saying there's no loyalty to the current club and I'm saying there isn't necessarily any loyalty to the club pro-players 'support'.
  22. Oh, I do... and we're entering bye-week country.
